Guest guest Posted July 26, 2006 Report Posted July 26, 2006 Congratulations on your first Xolair shot, Adah! I have my first shot tomorrow and I'm pretty nervous too! It makes me feel better knowing that it goes smoothly for almost everyone! Did the shot hurt at all? Is the needle big? Yikes...I'm still nervous! Take care, , 32, Louisville > I had my first xolair shot this morning--NO REACTION at all--can't even see the needle prick! Guest guest Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 Dear : Not to worry--the needle is very small and it did not hurt at all, but then I also have a high tolerance to pain of any kind (which is sometimes to my disadvantage!). But you do feel a slight prick. The hardest part for me was standing still while the medicine went in because it has to go in very slowly! But I did stand still and even five and a half hours later it is still hard to see where I had the shot. I had a very good nurse! Good luck tomorrow.
