Guest guest Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 , Many factors contribute to possibly under dosing the xolair. Ask your physician if it is possible that you were on prednisone when you were tested for the IgE. Developing new allergies can also cause rise in IgE levels. Until we are off Xolair for 1 year, we won't have a valid IgE test available. Since Xolair binds the IgE & the IgE lives quite a long time, the IgE tests will show the bound IgE and the free IgE so it looks as if IgE has risen to a high level when in fact it is lessened.
