Guest guest
Hello everyone....I know there was a great discussion regarding hair loss not that long ago, but I thought I would note that I have been on Xolair for 2.5 months now and have noticed that I am starting to lose more hair than normal for me. I thought it might have to do with being on pred since November 2005 and now tapering off. I went to the Xolair site and printed off the prescribing information and they have a " Postmarketing Experience " section and hair loss, as well as severe thrombocytopenia (which I believe is a decrease in platelets)listed as adverse reactions. I found this interesting. The reason why I visited the prescribing info had to do with the clinical trials that went wrong in Britain last month with the 6 individuals who received the medicine got quite ill. This medicine was a " monoclonal antibody " which is what Xolair is as well!!!! Anyways...curious minds...... Pamela Now down to 7mg of the evil candy and hoping to get off of it very soon!!!
