Guest guest
Wow! I didn't know it was against the law in Arkansas for shooting fireworks in the city limit because it certainly was ignored here. We sat outside with the mosquitoes and could look anywhere in the sky and see fireworks. This was the first year DS (darling son) shot fireworks and did not have an asthma attack. So sorry that the smoke caused you and your mother-in-law problems. Hopefully, there will not be too many firework sales today! uca79iii <uca79iii@...> wrote: I have nothing at all against fireworks. I shot them as a kid and even as a young adult, but I did it legally. We went to a wonderful show tonight that our church sponsored. It is illegal to shoot fireworks in Arkansas within the city limits; however, people are igonoring that law. It has looked like a war zone in my neighborhood all day today and especially tonight 2nd hand fireworks smoke in the air. My 81 year old mother in law who lives with us is asthmatic too. She only gets an attack a few times a year; uses her combivient and her asthma is over for another few months. (must be nice) Today, she has used her inhailer 4 times. I nebbed 5 times today and evern used Pulmicort twice. Before the fireworks, I was nebbing one time a day and that was it. Thank heavens the smoke will stop soon. If I had to put up with it another day, I might have to get out the evil candy again. Doug --------------------------------- Sneak preview the all-new .com. It's not radically different. Guest guest
It rained really hard here just before nightfall and for a time after it got dark, so we didn't hear or see any fireworks. There is a ban in our city, but not in the county. There are also " safe " areas just outside the city limits for people to shoot off fireworks. It is even against the law to bring the fireworks into the city and while that is hard to enforce, there are some policemen who sit and watch the cars as they leave the stands! (I know-- a waste of man power.) The city has really come down hard, though because we have had so many fires and injuries from fireworks in past years. It is a lot better than I remember it being in the past. Hope all had a safe 4th and that the xolair keeps doing its job! Keep breathing! Adah brenda williams <bjwilliams03@...> wrote: Wow!
