Guest guest
Indeed, Novartis should make the vials come in different sizes. I used to waste half a vial and every time I dumped it into the sharps container I said " Wow I just threw out $300. " Now I take 2 full ones so I don't waste it. Having boosted my dose by 25% MAY be making a difference, I can't tell. Unlike Addy and others, I have not had the Xolair miracle happen yet. I have cut my pred and I am sick less often I think but I am far from " cured " as my doc calls it. So it is definitely doing something, just not everything I had hoped....makes me sad.... ps My doc canned my idea of injecting at home. He got freaked because he knows someone who reacted to Remicaide (another biological agent with many more potent side effects) and went into anaphylaxis after having several doses without a problem. Maybe he will let me do it at work surrounded by nurses in the med room.

Guest guest
me too -- it kills me that anyone on the highest dose like me (375 every 2 weeks) throws away half a bottle -- i'm trying to convince my dr to just let me use the other half, but so far, she's not budging (but i can be very persuasive) heather pyle456 <coachmac@...> wrote: I TOTALLY AGREE! Guest guest
I'm surprised that the insurance companies aren't forcing Genentech to make a 75 mg vial. The insurance companies are the ones paying for the bulk of the cost in most cases. The manufacturer would only need to make one other size (75 mg) to fix this problem. It just seems SO ridiculous to waste so much of the medication when it's SO expensive! Do you think it would help if patients started complaining to the manufacturer about this? , 32, Louisville > > Indeed, Novartis should make the vials come in different sizes. Guest guest
I use 2 vials for 2 shots every 2 weeks. Nothing is left in that bottle except the little smidgen that the needle didn't get out of it. I wonder what that little drop of Xolair is worth? Let's see....... 500.00 a bottle..... x amount of drops in a bottle etc... LOL Doug
