Hi,

I would like to comment on what you have just said..

I'm from pittsburgh Pa and my son have severe asthma and is currently taking

the xolair. In the past before he has been put on this shot his drs has put

him

on steriods continuesly every month or every other month along with the

hospital

stays all the time... many meds as well.

His dr told me if he didn't get better then maybe we would have to move to

another

place, like florida . I had told the dr. right now i don't have the funds to

move so i have to make due right now to see what happens. then the xolair came

out and the dr said

he was going to get the approval for my son to get it since he was so bad.

so then he was on his way to taking the xolair.

it is a very expensive drug mind you but i do see some change since he has

been taking it but he has been sick with infections and has been to the hospital

but not as much since taking the medicine.

This medicine may not be for everyone but it sure is a try for anyone who can

get it approved by your dr for sure.

about the moving part to another state. another dr. has told me that no

matther where you live at there is going to be some sort of trigger that can or

could trigger your asthma so unless you have the funds to move or is able to

pick up and move to another state then try it and find out for your self.

I also have to comment on something else as well. I hate when people you talk

to and say well you will grow out of the asthma. alot of people don't know what

you or others have to go threw unless they have been there their self. you do

not grow out of the asthma it will always be there in some form or another the

dr told us.

you may have less symptoms but you never get rid of it.

there may be something that may trigger it off that you may not no.

Like me for example. the dr told me last spring i have a touch of asthma.

well just yesterday i was cleaning my bathroom with cleaners that i always

use and i had my window open to air it out and i couldnt breath i was coughing

and all this mucus was comin up so i had to call my dr and he said i was havin a

asthma attack.

so i had to get inhalers and steriods and everything. so he told me to be

careful what

cleaners to use.

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS NEVER CLEAN A ROOM WITH CLEANERS AND HAVE A SEVERE

ASTHMATIC AROUND THERE THEY WILL HAVE A ASTHMA ATTACK.... just to let everyone

know who doesnt know that....

i always clean when my son isnt at home .

I hope this has helped or touched someone in some sort of way.

thank you for listening and have a asthma free day everyone.

If you have asthma caused by allergies, Xolair should help you a

great deal. Whether you wheeze or don't wheeze, if allergens are

your main asthma trigger you should see a lot of benefit.
