My 2 cents re: asthma + pregnancy

My kids are 10yo and 7yo. With both of my pregnancy's I had asthma

attacks and I was on prednisone for about 2-3 months in both cases

(both attacks happened in the beginning of the 2nd trimester)....as

well as being on numerous inhalers. I was taken off of Flovent when

pregnant and put back on Becloforte (16 puffs a day!), which is a very

strong corticosteriod with LOTS of absorption into the

body....hmmm....probably why I was diagnosed with osteopenia at the age

of 30!

I saw a high risk physician and of course had to weigh the risks vs the

benefits. I don't know what I would have done if I was on Xolair at

the time!
