Guest guest
Thanks Addy, I will look into your suggestion. I believe in the past I tried a few doses of prescription Mucinex. If I remember correctly, I became a little concerned because while loosening up the gunk in my throat it also seemed to really dry up the nasal sinuses and especially my mouth which always seemed to be dry. ________________________________ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of pyle456 Sent: Wednesday, February 15, 2006 5:38 AM Subject: [ ] Re: Steve Again: Coughing Steve, We have had a couple of folks show improvement within just a few days. It's not as common, but it does happen! As to your coughing, that has been more of a problem for me as I get older. It does improve over time with Xolair, but I still have bouts of it once or twice a year. This last time, my doctor told me to get OTC mucinex and take two twice a day for a day or two and then one (the normal dose). Mucinex is just a whopping dose of guifanesin, which helps thin the secretions. BE SURE TO CHECK WITH YOUR DOC if you think you want to do this b/c I don't know what kinds of meds or other health issues it interacts with. Also, double or triple your daily intake of water.
