Thanks Addy, I will look into your suggestion.

I believe in the past I tried a few doses of prescription Mucinex. If I

remember correctly, I became a little concerned because while loosening

up the gunk in my throat it also seemed to really dry up the nasal

sinuses and especially my mouth which always seemed to be dry.

We have had a couple of folks show improvement within just a few

days. It's not as common, but it does happen!

As to your coughing, that has been more of a problem for me as I get

older. It does improve over time with Xolair, but I still have

bouts of it once or twice a year. This last time, my doctor told me

to get OTC mucinex and take two twice a day for a day or two and

then one (the normal dose). Mucinex is just a whopping dose of

guifanesin, which helps thin the secretions. BE SURE TO CHECK WITH

YOUR DOC if you think you want to do this b/c I don't know what

kinds of meds or other health issues it interacts with. Also,

double or triple your daily intake of water.
