Guest guest
Ahh Larry I do understand. I am glad that you have found some relief with Ultram, as it did work for me for a while then it didnt. But the combination of Ultram and Trazodone did work great at nights. The trazodone is used for depression but has some link to the back. Makes you feel hung over in the morning but the 2 together did work. I don't know if you have tried that but if not may be something to look into. > alisa , yes i have had a shot threw the tail bone geez not comfy at all > , hmmm i soooo agree with on that one. and ultram is a narcotic . and > some people say its not addictive some say no, my dr says in high doses > it is but not in low doses. alisa i have been taking it for a while now. > as i mentioned before it is the only thing that takes the edge off this > pain i have all the time , night or day ya know its rather funny this > pain it really don't care whether its night or day the pain is present > 24-7. alisa i also have tried vicodine and it did nothing at all for me > not to mention i have been told by numerous people it is addictive. it > makes my skin break out in a red rash. so i stay with ultram. and my msp1 > dr prescribed me neurontin the other day and im telling you they can keep > that crap talk about sleep i don't need that much sleep . thats all that > does. so again back to ultram i go. ya know one of these days there going > to make , " our medical science " that is is going to come up with a med > that will take care of this needless pain we all have but for now i > suppose they " the gov. Guest guest
hey , hi cindy i have tried numerous things, trazodone you say huh!, yes im open to what ever takes the edge off the pain, if truth be known!!, what i would like to find is something to add to or with ultram to be a go between if that makes any sense that way, i can go between ultram and that way i won't be taking just ultram & Ibuprofen . but right now im on ultram & Ibuprofen and they work wonderful together. i have taken ultram and Kava Kava and that too! works good together but like anything that works our so called gov. recalls it off the shelf. cindy how long had you been taking it ( trazodone ) ?. if you don't mind my asking?. and what exactly does it do. is it for muscles or nerves?. and by the way thanks for your reply. i was begining to think im the only one who is currently taking ultram!, thanks for responding!!. thank you!!!. .....i wish you well !!, take care....Larry.....oh yeh!, how long have you been on / taking ultram?...agian thank you .......Larry On Tue, 03 Aug 2004 14:57:25 -0000 " " <sugarbutt1966@...> writes: > Ahh Larry I do understand. Guest guest
Good morning Larry. Isnt this spinal crap just a kick in the butt (literally). Anyhow on to th subject of Trazadone. I took Trazadone for about 2 yrs. I quit taking it because I had a hard time getting up in the morning without having that " hung over " feeling... But... it does work (at least for me). As most everyone in this group, the nights are the HARDEST!!! Ibruphrophen works okay for me, but I like Vioxx. But unfortunately now I have to double the dose to 50 mg a day becasue 25 wasn't doing its job. Ultracet is Ultram and Tylenol together, which may be something to look at also. I like the ultracet. Since this wonderful workermans compensation company seem to have a bug up their butt and have denied any and all future claims (the adjuster is just a plain JACK%*#) I have to fork over $226.00 a month to cover my meds so I try to get by with what I can. Now Ambien is also a wonderful night time drug that I found to be EXTREMELY effective. Once you take it, make sure you " re in bed, but works (with me anyhow) within about 15 min and I slept the whole night without waking up (maybe to use the restroom) and was up @ 6:00 am feeling great!!!!! The Trazadone I believe works with the muscles more than the nerves, like I mentioned earlier it is actually a anti depressant, but has some funky link to the back. I only used it at night and took it prn. I appreciate also your input and everyone elses, as it is nice to talk to people who can say I understand instead of " it's all in your head " . > > > alisa , yes i have had a shot threw the tail bone geez not comfy > > > > at all > > > , hmmm i soooo agree with on that one. and ultram is a narcotic . > > > > and > > > some people say its not addictive some say no, my dr says in high > > > > doses > > > it is but not in low doses. alisa i have been taking it for a > > while > > now. > > > as i mentioned before it is the only thing that takes the edge off > > > > this > > > pain i have all the time , night or day ya know its rather funny > > this > > > pain it really don't care whether its night or day the pain is > > present > > > 24-7. alisa i also have tried vicodine and it did nothing at all > > for me > > > not to mention i have been told by numerous people it is > > addictive. > > it > > > makes my skin break out in a red rash. so i stay with ultram. and > > > > my msp1 > > > dr prescribed me neurontin the other day and im telling you they > > can keep > > > that crap talk about sleep i don't need that much sleep . thats > > all > > that > > > does. so again back to ultram i go. ya know one of these days > > there > > going > > > to make , " our medical science " that is is going to come up with > > > > a med > > > that will take care of this needless pain we all have but for now > > i > > > suppose they " the gov.
