A nerve conductiont test to see were you have pressed nerves and how much

damage is done. Don't want to scare youbut they did one on me and did not

tellme

about it but i'll tell you one thing right now, I will never have anouther

one. They did mine on bother arms. They shock certain spots on you and it is

very painful, I left the office crying and my arms hurting for 3 days. I just

want you to be prepared the whold test doesn't hurt but it is the spots where

they shock you five times in one spot. Don't let this scaRE you off becaus eit

is

done to see which nerves are messed. But Ijust wanted you to know in advance,

they didn't tellme a thing about. Good luck

I have had one done in October and that is when they discovered the

herination in the right side of the neck after an MRI was done following this.

I don't

like those test either and they are very uncomfortable. I am just wondering

if waiting will do more harm. I maybe able to get a different doctor sooner

though. I guess knowing what is wrong can help them help me more? I don't

know right now just April 12th is so far away for me and I am in so much pain

right now and this is three weeks after the accident. I don't know if it will

keep getting worse as it has or will a miracle happen for me. I am just scared

right now. Especially, since I was told not to do anything just go home and

lay down.

I don't understand why they don't just order an MRI for you. Maybe you

should consider asking your general physician about this on Friday?

, I will see my chiropractor in an hour maybe he will even I don't know.

The MRI definitely will tell them a lot more than x rays.

I recently had a nerve test (last month) on both arms and hands. While the

shocks were uncomfortable, they weren't painful, and my arms did not hurt after

the test.

Every person has a different reaction and pain threshold to different

procedures.

i am sorry that yours was quite painful from the sounds of your email...but just

trying to show that sometimes it isn't that bad either.
