hi my name is Larry, you have probably heard this time after time, well

this is no different !, i take the same amount of Ibuprophen as you do

mine is 800 mg per pill the dos is so high i have to have a prescription

for it anyway if your pain is like mine, the dullest most irratatingnest

pain mankind can muster up. well i know that pain i live with it day in

and day out!. what helps me is " 1 Ibuprofen & 3 Ultram every 6 hours "

every 6 hours and no i don't dare mis a dos. i do and i wish to god i

hadn't. and the naus. feeling you have is your stomach linen being slow

threatened by the chemicals thats in Ibuprofen, my dr told me very BOLDLY

do not take without food or milk. i didn't the first week and i started

there after and yes i still feel the naus. but I'd rather feel a little

of that as to feel the pain, thats the way i look at it anyway....Larry

Please be carefull, I just spent last Friday having an endescope

because of all my stomach pain...taken some nasty stuff over the last

few years...now have gastritis, don't know how much was caused by all

the meds (see my Dr for follow up tomorrow). But I know Ibuprofen

caused pain whenever I took it.

Sounds like you really need to change things or your stomach will be sending

you to the hospital soon! I used to take too much Motrin and it gave me a

lot of trouble also. Now I take various drugs, but a little Vicodin and

Methadone every day for pain... sometimes taking the narcotics is just

necessary, you shouldn't be afraid to take them at such low doses. Sounds

to me like you need it for the pain. I'm afraid of the patches because of

the incidents lately of them leaking and overdosing people, some have died

from it.

I am sorry to hear about the pain that you are in. Taking ibuprofin

every 4-5 hours sounds like it's a pain. If you take too much your

body can actually start becoming accustomed to it. See if you can

alternate between that and some other pain medication. Good luck with

everything!
