I had somewhat the same problem when I went through my laminectomy on c3-c7. My

left arm was " hypersensitive " , and it felt like the arm was on fire, even if I

blew on it. It has diminished a bit since my surgery, but not all the way.

I have had burning in the fingers, hands and arms. Alot of numbness and

heaviness too. This has been attributed to cervical radiculopathy. I have 3

herniated cervical discs which involve the nerves. Have you had an MRI on your

c-spine? Is that area involved?

This is quite an interesting feeling I'm having. I don't know if it's

associated with my spine(L5-S1)or something else. It's this super

painful burning sensation that's almost like a sunburn on my right side

arm. It's very painful to the touch and I've had it for a few days.

Has anybody had such a feeling? Could it be associated with my spine

or the surrounding nerves?

I'm going in for surgery soon to repair the discs in my lower back, but

I'm scared about this new symptom. I called my doc and waiting for a

call back from him.

Yeah I did have an C-spine MRI done about a month after my L/S-spine

MRI. It showed fairly normal healthy disc in that area so I'm not

sure on what I'm feeling. One thing that was mentioned was some the

disc in that area were " closer " together then normal for my age (27)

but as long as I was not feeling any pain, my doc was not going to

worry too much about it. I think discs in question was C-7, C-8.

I'll have to take out my MRI scan to be sure though. I'm confused

with this burning, because I feel completely different symptoms in my

legs. My Doc said if it continues the next few days, to come in and

see him

Thanks
