Guest guest Posted June 10, 2007 Report Share Posted June 10, 2007 Atlanta Braves "Jerseys Off Our Backs" raises more than $16,000 for the Atlanta Braves Foundation and Piedmont Hospital Transplant Services Atlanta Braves players and manager Bobby took the jerseys off their backs on Saturday, June 9, to raise more than $16,000 for the Atlanta Braves Foundation and Piedmont Hospital Transplant Services. Now in its seventh year, the popular Jerseys Off Our Backs fundraiser gives fans the chance to purchase scratch off raffle tickets and win autographed player-worn jerseys after the game. The Atlanta Braves Foundation is the non-profit arm of the Atlanta Braves that actively supports community organizations and their programs within the metro Atlanta area. Since its inception in 1992, the Atlanta Braves Foundation has provided support to thousands of metro Atlanta based organizations and has contributed more than 1 million dollars in financial assistance to the community. Through the generous support of Braves players, employees, sponsors and fans, the Atlanta Braves Foundation continuously strives to improve the quality of life for our youth. Piedmont Hospital is a 458-bed acute tertiary care facility offering all major medical, surgical and diagnostic services. Piedmont Transplant Services include kidney, pancreas, kidney/pancreas and liver transplantation, and the percent of living-donor kidney transplants exceeds national rates.
