Guest guest Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 (((Gracie))) It is so good to see you out and about!! It has been forever :-) Thanks for sharing your story and thanks for telling about Janis and Friends. It is on my links page and absolutely IS one of the better sites. I even got to meet Patty last December in D.C. That was awesome! As far as alcohol, I haven't had a drink since 1998. Diagnosed in 1997 and spent a few months in denial. Alcohol is the single worst thing for those of us who haven't cleared (Glad to hear that several of you have!) I do have many friends who have cleared and do drink on occasion. I also know others who tried to drink all the way through treatment and never cleared. I just think alcohol in general is bad for the liver. I also think smoking is bad for the lungs and wish I had quit years ago when I was first diagnosed with emphysema. Alot of us struggle with addiction problems of one sort or another. It is sometimes very hard just to stop something because it is good for your health...... but my thoughts on alcohol and the liver are............ NO WAY! :-) Peace and Love Pam [ ] Digest Number 1613 There are 25 messages in this issue. Quote
