So, yes, you can have high enzymes and your liver can look good and still have the disease. That is exactly how I started out. However, remember that everyone is different and response to medication is different. I have heard that some people just go through a bad bout and then go into remission. Of course, this is everyone's hope. I would suggest that you share all of your questions and concerns with your doctor. Make sure that you feel comfortable with him/her. If not, seek out a hepatologist and try to be seen by someone at the university level, if possible. They are usually the most well-schooled in liver diseases. If you have the inclination, look things up on the internet. If not, ask us and we will try to clarify things for you, and, of course, support you with not only information, but love and caring.
