Guest guest
Chuck, Why do you assume that I was interested in this product for myself? I was merely trying to open up a new line of inquiry more along the lines of what this group was formed for - treatments for hypothyroidism that included those out of the mainstream. I found it interesting that this man's doctor wanted to put him on Synthroid but he used this product successfully instead. I wondered how the magnesium citrate in the formulation was meant to help the dessicated bovine thyroid. Even though the thyroxine was removed, it is well known to alternative practitioners and most doctors that thyroxine can't all be taken out and some people with early and minor thyroid problems can find some help with these products. As a matter of fact, I am taking Armour 31/2 gr., which Dr. Derry says is just over the bare minimum necessary for most people to have a positive effect. I really don't like taking any pill so I am looking for a possible cure, not mere treatment. I thought that I would find more interest in a cure in this group but I guess not. Oh, by the way, on another group I saw a post from a man whose wife had normalized her thyroid with iodine and no longer needed to take any thyroid. That would work for me. Pat .. Guest guest
Pat, You wrote: > > Why do you assume that I was interested in this product for myself?... Perhaps because you were the one that ASKED about it, and you didn't indicate it was for a friend or of hypothetical interest. I was just answering your question. > ... There is plenty of interest, but both experience and the published literature show that true cures are relatively rare. Most of the cases claiming cures involve temporary conditions that result in spontaneous recovery, one that would have happened anyway, without the expensive depleted bovine glandulars. For example, there is a common post partum syndrome that only rarely progresses to permanent thyroid failure. For people with actual hypoT, the sooner the condition is recognized and the hormone replaced, the better. If someone delays to play with the hope that an herbal treatment will result in a miracle, they may do themselves permanent damage. Thus, the sort of misplaced hope, on which the posted testimonial plays, may actually be doing people harm. Chuck
Guest guest
Actually, you'll find a number of people here interested in any kind of snake oil or quack medicine that you can bring up; just check the archives. It just happens that Chuck is not among that number. > > Re: Standard Process Thytrophin PMG/Finding a cure > <hypothyroidism/message/32043;_ylc=X3oDMTJxamxzZW9\ mBF9TAzk3MzU5NzE1BGdycElkAzE0NTY2NARncnBzcElkAzE3MDkyNTEwODIEbXNnSWQDMzIwNDMEc2V\ jA2Rtc2cEc2xrA3Ztc2cEc3RpbWUDMTE5MzQ2MDIxMg--> > > > > Posted by: " Pat Lane " planeproductions@... > <mailto:planeproductions@...?Subject=%20Re%3A%20Standard%20Process%20Thytr\ ophin%20PMG%2FFinding%20a%20cure> > planeproductions <planeproductions> > > > Fri Oct 26, 2007 9:40 pm (PST) > > Chuck, > > Why do you assume that I was interested in this product for myself?
