Get 2 months FREE*. Hi Sue, I don't know if I count since they haven't given me a dx yet other than non discript hepatitis. My abdomen, my ankles and my left hand swells usually when my enzymes are up or I am exhausted. When it happens I stop the salt, eat smaller meals and drink lots of purified water, rest and stay cool. I have had to go on diuretics before. If I am careful I usually can manage it. It is important to tell your doc! retaining fluid isn't part of the normal scheme and can mean more than one thing. Have it checked. Guest guest
It probably wouldn't have been so bad if it actually went down into my stomach. LOL Sent from my CrackBerry® powered by Virgin Mobile. Re: Yuck Actually, lol!, tomatoes are on the list of foods that *should* help because they are acid. Acid foods are on the list of foods that GERD patients should avoid because they RELAX the LES. . . . Others are alcohol, coffee, tea, peppermint, chocolate, onions, fats (butter!) . . . . However, some GIs seem confused, and have recommended that Achalasia patients also abstain. . . . However, we really all differ tremendously from each other, so. . . . > > > Yep, manometry would win over the dentist for me too! > About tomato soup, aren't tomatoes one of the no no foods for us because they are acidic. > >
