Bev,

I googled " magnesium and migranes " it said at one of the websites that

almost all people that have migranes are low in magnesium. I did not

read on further but if you google it, I am sure you will find some

answers.

Bev,

Yeah that's what I meant but I phrased it confusingly. Jumping around at stuff,

my appologies. All I was trying to say it that a symptom of Trazodone is muscle

pain.  Perhaps you could look into trying another version (if one or some

exist) so you don't experience this side effect. because that's what you say you

are taking the magnesium for.

Re: Health care topic

I don't take Trazodone for pain, I take that for depression & sleep,

It's the only think that helps me sleep.. I take the magnesium for

pain..it's supposed to help pain..

I typed in the words " magnesium and migranes " It was the 4th or 5th

item down the list where it talked about migranes caused by low

magnesium. I know I am spelling migranes wrong but that is the way I

type it in and still got the info. How do you spell it anyway! I

tried several spellings and my computer is still telling me its wrong.

look at http://www.magnesiumforlife.com

500mg is not too much. 750mg is not fatal! the chloride form of magnesium

is preferred, also transdermal.

melatonin is usually sold in milligrams like 1-5.

Gracia

The reasons I am taking it is it's suppose to help with muscle pain

and help not constipate me from my calcium. Now I'm finding out

it's suppose to help with sleeping too so I sure can use that.. I

take Trazodone 250 mg. a night for sleep and depression & all that

and I just added 600 mcgs. of Melatonin recently and I can tell a

difference with that but I could use some more help with it. So its'

for a few reasons. 500 mg a day too much?

the transdermal mag chloride seems to bypass this problem.

Gracia

Hi Bev,

I get diarrhea (SP?) which is one of the symptoms of getting more

than you need. That is why I take it only several times a week rather

than everyday. It seems to work for me.

I like estrogen, progesterone and melatonin for sleep.

Gracia

Bev, I can't sleep either because of FMS, and I take Ambien 10mgs. It works

like a

charm. I have been taking it for years now, and I haven't found the need to

take more

and it's a gift to be able to sleep.
