Yes they have, but the other modes have caught smaller tumors and such

far earlier than mammos could ever have.

i'm in agreement if it wasn't for mammograms my mom wouldn't be

here..She went for a mammogram basically because her ins. was promoting

breast health..and it was free. The mamo revealed a tumor the size of a

pea and it contained two types of Cancer she had a mastectomy and a low

dose of chemo and that was 11yrs ago.

Yea, I was told the same too, but I got one anyway.

What I am saying is that if there's a choice in how to get the breast

scanned, it makes more sense to me to use the way that has the

potential to find the smallest of tumors.

In some diseases the immune system attacks other parts of the body. I

don't understand calling that " all parts [of our bodies] working

together " ??? Maybe you mean in healthy bodies?

You are right in saying a sonogram is more precise, as well as an MRI is even

more

precise. The problem is in getting these things paid for by the darn insurance

companies

that have our lives (literally) in their hands. A girl recently died who

needed a liver (I think)

transplant and the insurance company refused. After much haggling by the

parents, the

doctors and the hospital, they agreed. Unfortunately, by the time they did,

the girl died.
