I have had cancer twice and am starting a vegan diet. I am female,

33, and have been sick since I was a child. Anyone from Pittsburgh?

How can I incorporate this diet with the candida diet? Sorry, I have

a scattered brain.

Hi Amy. Welcome to our group. My dear friend you will not avoid

cancer if you have a vegan diet. Humans are omnivores which means

they eat meats (and eggs) and plants. There are extremely important

nutrients only obtained from meats and eggs, that are not available

in plants, particularly B12, good nature-made fats, oil soluble

vitamins A, D & E, omega 3, etc., etc. - please read Myths About

Vegetarianism in our files (left menu) - it is in the Candida Diet

Folder. Also see Myth #2 Vitamin B12.

Hair loss is a very common symptoms when you have candida overgrowth

throughout your body. Also there is a connection between candida and

cancer - see our Cancer Folder for articles. My sister is a hospice

nurse and she said that every cancer patient has candida; but the

fact is not everyone who has candida has cancer.

I strongly advise you to reconsider your decision about eating

vegan. I do not believe anyone can re-gain their health and be

cancer-free if they do not eat the nutrition recommended on my

program (diet plus supplements). Please read my article " How to

Successfully Overcome Candida " which was sent to you when you joined,

or find it in the 1st folder in our files (left menu), and also print

out the other article in that folder " Candida, How to Get Started " .

We've had a number of members who " wisely " added meats and eggs to

their diet, and they have been improving.

Also did you know that humans can be perfectly healthy only eating

meats and good nature-made fats - like the Eskimos studied by Dr.

Weston A. Price. See the many articles and information at the Weston

A. Price Foundation (non-profit organization) at www.westonaprice.org.

The best in health, Bee

but low fat/high carb, hardly ever any red meat and only egg whites.

Since starting Bee's diet almost all my previous physical ailments are

disappearing - sciatica, chest congestion, sinuses clearing up and can

actually breath through my nose for the 1st time in years. My hair loss

has also decreased significantly. I never would have believed it if I

hadn't tried it. Just my 2 cents.

Hi, Joanne. I'm not sure if there has been regrowth. My hair was abt

down to the middle of my back (though have gotten it cut recently and

is shoulder length now). So I have quite a bit of hair (not thick

though) and it didn't thin to the point of having any bald spots. After

I would wash my hair I would pull out handfuls - and I mean handfuls -

when combing it. Now after washing hardly any comes out - some, but

nothing like before. I'll have to keep watching the crown area as that

seems to be where it is the thinnest and see if it appears to get

thicker I guess.

Sure. And another thing I forgot to mention - I used

to be cold all the time. As soon as it started getting cool outside

I had to turn the heat on and keep it around 74 degrees. I would

dress really warm even in the house. My hands and feet would get so

cold and it would take forever for me to get them warmed up.

Sometimes I even turned the heat up to 76, 78 or higher because I

would be so cold. The only way I could get my fingers warmed up was

to hold them under warm running water or on a direct heat source. Now

my feet do not get cold anymore. I've had to have the heat on in the

house a bit recently, but only on 70 and I have not been cold! I am

soooo happy about this. The tips of my fingers do get cold sometimes

if exposed to cooler air outside, but otherwise this has been a major

improvement for me.

joanne and gail,

i have had some hair loss also and just recently. Not

that i am bald in any spots but just that wheni wash

it or brush it i notice mor hair in the brush or in

the drain... I sincerely hope it slows down or stops,

but one thin i have noticed is that the gray seems to

be less or maybe the growth is less....another mystery

of this crazy condition.

Thanks... Sue

I have had life time of thin hair too. I saw on Beauty show, a trick

to make thin hair look fuller. Epson Salts in filtered water as a

final rinse, after shampooing. Don't rinse out. Towel dry, and style

as usual.

I think it was 1-2 Tbsp Epson Salts, to 1 qt warm filtered water.

I am not against fats at all, actually I believe we need about 35% of our

calories(which I don't count) a day to come from fat, but good fat. I need to

alkaline my body so it is not a breeding ground for cancer. I believe that meats

are acidic so I want remove these from my diet.

Sue, you may find your gray hair reverses because of getting enough

nutrients, esp. minerals.

==>Dearest Amy, sorry but the whole alkalinity/acidity issue is false;

see articles in our files on it (same title). The causes of cancer

are 1) lack of proper nutrients; 2) too much carbs & sugars which

block oxygen getting into the cells, and 3) lack of oxygen. This was

discovered by Otto Warburg who won the Nobel Prize for it - see our

Cancer Folder for it. My entire diet plus supplements increases

oxygen and provides nutrients required. The best oxygenating

substances are: 1) vitamin c because it increases the body's

production of hydrogen peroxide which is oxygenating; 2) food grade

H202 (diluted to 3% and handled very cautiously and starting on 1 drop

in distiller water 3 times a day) - see the 1st article in theH202

Folder - read carefully and do not take too much; 3) vitamin E and 4)

niacin.

==>We actually need much higher than 35% good fats, more like 60%.
