You shouldn't take too large of doses because that is counterproductive to healing because then you are just overwhelming your body. Just be consistent, see the dentist tomorrow to double-check what is happening, and take aspirin if it helps the pain, for now, or go to emergency. I had lots of vitamin C, garlic tea and clove oil to get rid of the infection. Bee >
Guest guest
Hi there, I don't know if it's worse than having a baby, never having had one. I've heard people say that having abcess/root canal is worse than having a baby. thanks

The worst pain I had was when an ovarian cyst broke - the pain was so bad it knocked me out cold. ==>Is the abcess in a previously drilled root canal? Guest guest
, I've been following your posts and really feel for you - especially having to get through a week-end. My 23 year old son recently went through what you are and I've never seen him in such agony. He wasn't able to work/sleep or put his mind to anything. Pain killers barely touched it. After seeing him go through that I would say that going through labor would be preferred - at least it's producing a precious life at the end! My son ended up getting treated for the infection and having a root canal - I'm not making any judgement on his choices (I don't know what I would have done) - just saying that was the outcome. Hope you have relief soon, Anita T. > I don't know if it's worse than having a baby, never having had one. > I've heard people say that having abcess/root canal is worse than > having a baby. Guest guest
Hello, That makes me feel like less of a baby - usually i'm good with pain, but this HURTS! I'm now taking paracetamaol/codeine, and I never take drugs usually, not even caffeine. But I just can't stand the pain, I tried hanging on but it just got worse and worse. The tooth is one where a year ago i had a large mercury replaced with composite. At the time the dentist said it was really deep, and we'd just have to see if it settled down or not. The nerve did settle down after a few months, but now this has come out of the blue. Thanks for everything Bee, fingers crossed I can get an appointment tomorrow! Guest guest
Hi Anita, Thanks for your support, it really means a lot to me. Tooth aches like this are very annoying - because it's not like a flu that will burn itself out. Abcesses are a sign of an underlying problem and need treatment, meaning a dentist visit! I'd love to save the tooth with a root canal, but I don't think I want to risk any continued health problems that can arise from root canals. I wonder if healthy people can handle it, but i have CFS/Fibro so I think it might hinder my recovery. I'm going towards the idea of just having it out, once and for all, and just living with the gap (its 2nd from the back so isn't really visible). I don't know if my other teeth will start shifting though... Anyway, I'm feeling pretty nervous about tomorrow! I've never had an adult tooth pulled before. I'll try and be brave Thanks again for your support > > , I've been following your posts and really feel for you - > especially having to get through a week-end. Guest guest
I have had 4 abscessed teeth and each one developed after the mercury amalgam filling fell out. It is the most unbearable pain I have ever experienced. A suspected broken leg, a few bladder, stomach, and intestinal cramps, and migraines have rated less painful. Two abscessed teeth were treated with prescription antibiotics and then they were pulled. Treating the infection is the most effective pain killer, and that's what one dentist told me. The other 2 abscessed teeth were saved by me primarily with raw garlic. I decided to try garlic because I had read the ancient Egyptians did not pull teeth and I knew part of their pyramid building salary was paid in raw garlic. I asked one dentist why ancient Egyptians did not pull teeth and how they treated toothache pain and they said they did not know. The Egyptians would not work without the garlic pay. I had also read they were paid with a daily ration of beer and that in a modern chemical analysis of the ancient beer vats large quanities of ereythromyecin(enough to have a medicinal effect-intestinal dysbiosis(?)) were found. These research findings are why I tried garlic for abscess pain. *Notes: I have also read that coffee makes abscess toothache pain worse and I found that to be true. Two other frequently used methods to control toothache pain are to hold colloidal silver or 3% hydrogen peroxide in the side of the mouth the ache is on. Do not swallow the cs or h2o2. Abscessed tooth infections can be emergencies. If you do not get quick relief you should seek professional treatment. Guest guest
Even with natural antibiotic treatment the results you get are dose and frequency related even if what you are using covers(spectrum) the type of infection you have. If I had of used 3 cloves of raw garlic per day I doubt it would of been effective for the abscessed teeth. I used 9-16 cloves of raw garlic per day divided into 3-4 doses. Same thing for the oregeno oil, I used 3-4 oil capsules 3-4 times per day. Guest guest
Hi , Wow how did you get that much down you?! I am in real trouble, the pain is beyond words, and I can't take any more pain medication for another 2 1/2 hours. I just swallowed down 2 large raw cloves of garlic, chopped up in water, and 4 Oreganols. Follwed it up with some soup. Feeling very queasy now! Very sick of garlic, concentrating on not throwing up. It's easy getting the Oreganol down me, but the garlic is another story. I have Kyolic liquid garlic extract, but I guess that's not so good. Thanks for your help, much appreciated

Guest guest
I have found that putting a wet green tea bag in your mouth by the painful area will be very helpful. Guest guest
Dear , Thanks for the information about garlic. Your contributions are always very good. It's also good to know how it was used in the past, i.e. Egyptians. Very interesting. I like to rely more on what was done before industrialization, except for blood letting of course. lol! BTY I do not agree with using collodial silver - see the File on it. The best to you, Bee > I have had 4 abscessed teeth and each one developed after the mercury amalgam filling fell out. Guest guest
I got results/relief within a day. I was already prepared for an abscess/toothache with my limited alternative medicene chest and I had already decided I was never going to take another prescription antibiotic again. I did not have to buy anything in addition to what I already had. I was using research and theory when I effectively treated my abscessed teeth with alternative remedies. Guest guest
Thanks for sharing all of this . I went through some really bad tooth pain several months ago and caved and took antibiotics and pain killers. I was very frustrated with the situation and wondered how I'd deal with the next time that happened to me, and the information you described makes sense.. I feel less anxious about what I'll do if I get into that situation again. Luv, Debby San , CA --- rpautrey2 <rpautrey2@...> wrote: > I got results/relief within a day. Guest guest
You are right Bee, I would never drink colloidal silver for an infection unless it was an absolute emergency, there was a good chance it would work, and nothing else was available. For an abscessed tooth I would resort to a different alternative oral antibiotic before I would even consider cs. I did post a warning about not drinking it. *Also, I was mistaken about one of my abscessed teeth. One actually happened after a large piece of a crown and tooth broke off. A dentist told me the tooth had been decaying inside the cap for years. Guest guest
, I am so impressed with your natural healing story. I too am on the no more antibiotics bandwagon! Especially after all the information I have gleaned from Bee and others on natural alternatives. Let's start a movement!!!
