Guest guest
As far as I could tell, Stevia is allowed. However, there is an ingredient in ours.... " malt...something " . Darn, I can't remember and I have a sleeping baby on me right now! Anyway, it says it helps solidify it or something. So...is stevia with this Malt ingredient okay as well? Thanks! And by the way...our tests came back. I don't have candidiasis...my husband does! We were kind of surprised. It's even harder with him. He's super picky already. Stevia is allowed but in small amounts; no one should go overboard with it. Malt is a type of sugar. It is best to buy as close to pure stevia as possible. I get mine from the bulk jars at my health store and it is green ground up stevia leaf. By the way no tests are accurate for or against candida. The best test is Dr. Crook's Candida Questionnaire - in my main article " How to Successfully Overcome Candida " . It is very common for candida to run in families because they have the same lifestyle and eat the same. Are you totally healthy and do not get any colds, flu, vaginal yeast, rashes, headaches, etc.? If so, you and your husband could go on the diet together. Does your baby have thrush, diaper rash or cradle cap - if so, he/she also has candida. These are not normal symptoms for any healthy baby to have although doctors try to make parents believe they are. Guest guest
Hi there, Yes, stevia is allowed in small amounts on this diet. I think the ingredient you're referring to is maltodextrin...and no, it's not okay. It's a rice or corn derivative so it would NOT be okay to use that stevia. You'll need to find a pure version, some folks use the ground green leaf stevia found at health food stores. Personally I use a pure stevia product called JAJA Stevioside that I get off the web at a site called: http://www.emperorsherbologist.com/stevia-stevioside.php even though YOUR test results showed that you dodn't have candia, test results for candida can be inaccurate and you would benefit greatly from this diet as well as your husband. hope that helps. jackie > > As far as I could tell, Stevia is allowed.
