I started with an ultra low-carb diet. I didn't know I had a yeast

infection until I cut off their supply and experienced a " die off " effect.

I was overweight (and getting more so all the time). I used to drink a lot

of starbucks coffee to combat the brain fog. I am better since I cut it

down to 1 cup, quit drinking vodka before bedtime, and stopped all sugar. I

began taking caprylic acid (1500 mg/day), garlic pills, and black walnut

hulls. Diet and cleaning out your digestive track are the two most powerful

weapons. Where you go from there I'm sure someone else would be more

knowledgeable than me. I'm only 3 weeks into this but I feel much better.

awhile.stress. cant think etc...I have so much brain fog I can hardly

think.

There is no doubt I have candidas. I really dont know how to start

anyone would like to take me thru on what I should do 1st, kinda be

a

mentor for me through this. I read and read and just dont know

where to

begin. I think I will be off work for at least a month so need

to start this.

My advice would be to make a decision on a basic diet plan to follow. I went to

a local health food store and consulted with a staffer there. Some people go to

a naturopath; others create their own plan based on an amalgamation of ideas

from books and websites. When I was preparing to start, I made sure my house was

well stocked with all the things I could eat and I cleared out much of what I

couldn't.

My basic plan was:

Breakfast, alternate

1) a bowl of organic puffed rice cereal sprinkled with chopped pecans, 1

tablespoon of ground flax seed and some cinnamon. I had mine with organic soy

milk (no additives)

or

2) 2 or 3 eggs, scrambled with soy milk and assorted veggies cooked in coconut

oil

Lunch and Dinner

Lean beef, Skinless chicken, or fish and veggies. For serving size, the

guideline I was given was to eat as much as I wanted as long as I ate 1/3

protein and 2/3 veggies.

or

Grilled veggies wrapped in Ezekiel flat bread.

I avoided:

peanuts, cashews, all dairy, wheat (except for Ezekiel flat bread), soya sauce,

potatoes, rice, corn, all fungus (mushrooms), pork, shellfish, alcohol, soda,

caffeine, all fruit, refined sugar and anything fermented (vinegar). I also was

told to avoid eating protein in combination with carbohydrates.

I am a big coffee fan so I was told to have one cup of decaf coffee per day and

drink 8 glass of water per day. The only other beverage was Chamomile tea. I

drank mine with stevia sweetener to give a little treat.

For snacks, I was told to have nuts (excepts those mentioned above) and seeds

(pumpkin, sunflower etc). I added nuts and seeds to all my salads as well.

For salad dressing, I used Extra Virgin olive oil, with fresh squeezed lemon or

lime juice and Herbamare organic seasoning that I bought at the health food

store. In fact, I used the Herbamare on everything..meat, chicken, fish and

veggies.

I began to experience die off symptoms within a few days. I kept a log of my

symptoms for reference sake. Within 2 weeks, I was feeling great though...more

energy than I had ever had before and I am a very high energy person. I know

there are MANY variations of the diet. This worked for me but I have never been

able to adhere to it strictly for more than 6 weeks consecutively. I am gearing

up to try it again. Good luck!

I started out taking supplements of probiotics and vitamins and when I found

that wasn't helping a whole lot I changed the way I eat.

No sugar at all, no carbs at all, no fungus foods, no fermented foods like

vinegar, no alcohol, no nuts, no dairy etc. same as most people suggest. I

stayed away from fruit as well and have just started to incorporate green apples

back in.

You will falter with the diet at some point as it can be difficult to follow

when in a social setting. But I've found that so long as I'm pretty faithful to

it when left to my own devices it's not too bad. Plus after time you will notice

when you eat a certain food that you'll react poorly to it and after you've felt

pretty good for a while I find that staying away and feeling better is a higher

pull that the craving for that food.

As for cleansing...I started with just psyllium and then after a couple of weeks

I started adding betonite to that to help ceanse the bowel. I did that for about

10 weeks and then I did a parasite cleanse and a total detox program that I

picked up at the health store. I've done one liver cleanse so far now and after

many trials with supplements of all sorts I've found that I get the best results

from the cleansing and flushing. The only supplements I take right now are aloe

vera gel, coconut oil, probiotic from yogurt and Bio K. I've also switched from

using psyllium to using cold processed ground flax and find that I don't get as

bloated as I would at times using psyllium. but I only just made the change a

week ago so I'll see if it stays this way. So now I'm getting ready to continue

with the liver flushing and see how much further that takes me.

I do still go to my MD and push for treatment and diagnosis just because I want

to see this recognized. There's lots of good advise in this group and on the

curezone site.

Oh what I do eat is lots of veg and protein. Lots of fresh garlic on anything I

can think of and lots of onions as well as these foods are supposed to help

promote good bacterial growth in the digestive tract but I'm no specialist.

Good luck and keep at it even when you falter you can start over the very next

meal!

Greetings to all

I am feeling your frustration and I know from personal experience that

it is tough at times. You want to do the right thing but you do not

know what to do and where to start.

Hold on it gets better really. Look in the success stories if you

have not do so, they well tell you it is hard work but you can do it.

Rhonda's basic plan is a good way to start off.

I am willing to be there for you on or off list as I am sure others

are also. This entire list is one big support and cheering section so

feel free to be... just remember to cheer back once you can cheer too :)

I have a couple of suggestions....USE TAPES OR CD'S to listen to

information. By doing your learning that way, you will be able to

have a possibility to form a new way to learn.

I use this way often and it is really good for me. I can just settle

in and rewind to what I do not get. And I play the important parts

over and over and over again. I do it while in the tub or while

cooking any time I have a machine available and my ears are clean.

I have below a link for a product that is used for cleansing the colon

and bowel. I am not recommending this product but they do have three

free tapes that are very good to listen to and understand about how

the body works for cleaning the colon, bowel and such...it is a start

at least...and they are free.

http://www.irwinnaturals.com/CD_option/CD_option.htm

http://www.irwinnaturals.com

I also recommend that you find a way to learn your body systems are

how the basic body works...yes I know it sounds like a big task, but

once you learn just a little you will see how all of the information

these wonderful people on this list have been saying, fit into your

life. Men and women are different and have different needs this too

is a point that must be looked at.

If anyone wants, I have a PDF about the body that is really good. I

will put it up only if there are people that would like that

information because the file is really big!!! If the group does not

want to use the space, you can contact me off-line...( it is really a

big file so beware!)

Hang in there it really does get better!!!

Good health and the means to maintain it.
