I would first like to welcome all the new members to this group!

Normally our moderator Nieema would be doing this but she has been

offline for a while following her father's recent death. She also does

a good job making sure that debates do not become personal attacks and

do not become the sole focus of the group. So please be patient during

this time, and do not become discouraged by the flood of conflicting

and sometimes negative posts. There is a quite a lot of useful

information in this group, and many members have been around for a long

time and have lots of knowledge to share.

You may notice that there are quite a lot of differing opinions on what

works and what doesn't for candidiasis. However, please do not be

confused, for several reasons : each person develops candidiasis and

related illnesses from different causes, each person's individual

biochemistry is different, and therefore some remedies work for some

and not for others.

You will find that many people " swear " by certain remedies - but this

means that it worked for them, not necessarily for you. This also

includes members selling products (not only inulin, but others selling

aloe vera, and a whole range of other remedies). It is my own personal

opinion that no one on this list is out to rob you of your hard earned

money, but merely to inform and encourage your own health and recovery.

As always, buyer beware, and that includes anything you buy in any

health food store!

Most importantly, there is no quick fix-it. Everyone on this list will

agree that you need a combination of remedies and life-style changes to

get healthy. The following may or may not work for you! This list is

by no means exhaustive! Start with the Files section to get more

information on any of the following and more.

candidiasis/files/

- Diet changes (low carb, food rotation, food combination, alkalizing

diet, ayurvedic diet, determine food allergies and intolerances, ....)

- Cleanses (water cure, parasite cleanse, colon hydrotherapy and

enemas, psyllium & bentonite shakes, herbal kidney cleanses, Moritz

liver flushes/cleanse)

- Therapies (ozone therapy, homeopathy, chiropractic adjustment, sleep

apnea treatment, chelation, NAT)

- Environmental changes (water filtration, cleaning up mold sources in

the home, eliminating toxic carpets and furnishings, eliminating

excessive humidity, reducing EMF exposure)

- Supplements & Foods (aloe vera, vitamin C, colloidal silver, pau

d'arco tea, grapefruit seed extract, garlic, kombucha tea, home-made

kefir, probiotics, inulin, milk thistle, essiac, minerals, olive leaf

extract, caprylic acid, apple cider vinegar with mother)

- Life-style changes (eat and drink better, re-synch your biorhythm,

reduce stress, laugh more, love more)

- Kinesiology to muscle test for allergies and imbalances, and to test

the usefulness of supplements.

- Learn to listen to your body

- Keep a diary to track your progress and your reactions to changes in

diet and treatments

No one can give you a treatment plan and say for sure whether it will

be 100% successful or not. Each person reacts differently - my system

cannot handle aloe vera personally, but others swear by it. I

personally swear by the parasite and liver cleanses, the P & B shakes, my

treatment for sleep apnea, and Vitamin C.

You can make a start with a diet and life-style change, and slowly add

supplements and cleanses -- Bee's suggestions for food and supplements

are a good start, but so is the http://www.curezone.com site for doing

cleanses. Don't try too much at once, moderation is the key.

There is a wealth of information out there, and it can be confusing to

sort through. Read as much as you can, don't get too stressed on the

details of conflicting advice, and just remember that even a few baby

steps in the right direction can already help you overcome years of bad

health...

Sorry for the long email! I hope this helps. And while I don't

pretend to be the moderator for this group, I am just trying to do my

part to help the new (and sometimes confused) members.

Comments and additional suggestions, from members new and old, all

welcome.

Regards,

Asli
