Guest guest
the only thing i am able to use is Unlubricated condoms... I will not and cannot use anything else. my partner hates condoms (so do i), but we rather do it this way than have me feeling horrible for days afterwards.. Guest guest
Contraceptive Pill I know this may seem incredibly stupid, but I just realised I'm still taking my contraceptive pill. Doesn’t this invalidate everything else I'm trying to do, ie isn’t it just as bad as taking antibiotics? My doctor suggested going off it for a while but when I mentioned I had stopped it for six months a couple of years ago to seemingly no effect she said it was ok not to.. We don’t really have a viable alternative contraceptive as condoms are evil things my partner hates.. what should I do? ----------- Get off the pill and tell your partner he doesn't have to have sex with you if he doesn't like condems. If he cares about your health he will adjust accordingly. Larry
Guest guest
I don't see how taking the pill is any good at all as it causes candida in the first place. Jane Contraceptive Pill I know this may seem incredibly stupid, but I just realised I'm still taking my contraceptive pill.
Guest guest
Thanks for that, Angel... I have never liked taking something every day and have come off it several times, but the pain gets gradually worse each month until I start to get sweats and pass out, at which point I give up and start taking it again... Not sure what to do on that front! Cheers, > > Hi , yes it can be a problem on the pill as it contains oestrogen and this can upset the hypothyroidism. hypo`s don`t do well on anything with estrogin in it. Guest guest
Hi, It is right that Oestrogen acts as a thyroid blocker. You could try take your medications a long way apart and get your G.P to do bloods to see if you need to up your Thyroid meds to compensate. The other option is, as you have such painful periods, is to go onto Depo injections. These are progestrone and last approx 6 months. During that time your periods will be non existant or very sparse. I don't know whether they still use them, but I used to have it done in the family planning clinic. You don't have to remember a pill every day and have hardly any periods, for me it was great.but, I suppose its horses for courses really. Kind regards, Tina. > > Thanks for that, Angel...
