Guest guest
Hi Nieema, I have found that ground flax seeds help SO much with constipation. My ND has me taking 1 TBSP 3 times a day. I have noticed a huge difference, and the flax actually adds a nice nutty flavour to salads and such. Make sure to keep it in the freezer! Guest guest
My 8 yr old daughter has candida, and one of her chronic problems from early on is constipation. In fact, (sorry to be graphic but there may be link here), rabbit pellets like. Of course should have had a clue that something was up because she drank only water and 3-5 fruits/veggies a day, but because she didn't complain it didn't register as a problem. However for us, magnesium works like magic. I've heard there are different kinds of magnesium, but for us we take one with magnesium from a combo magnesium oxide, citrate, malate. There must be some catch to the root cause and the fix to constipation, but until we figure it out best to try a few alternatives until you find one that works. Here's a more complete list of ideas: http://www.danasview.net/constip.htm Try one until you find one that works, getting junk out is critical! Take care, Kari Constipation and candidia Greetings to all I have just had a wonderful time discussing that wonderful topic constipation Does anyone have anything to say on the subject as it relates to Candidia? :-) Good health and the means to maintain it. nieema Natures is doing her best to make us well, she exists for no other end. http://www.a-healing-village.com
Guest guest
There is a product called COLOSAN that is the only thing that works for my constipation. It does have magnesium and claims that the Oxygen in the product pushes stuff out of the bowels...it's my life saver. I only find it on line for approx. $25-30 per bottle depending on the website. Guest guest
I also take ground flax seeds. Every morning I put it in my yogurt. Approx. 1 tbsp. I also add it to salads. It has been working really well for me. I've found it easier on me than the psyllium as the psyllium requires I think a ratio of 4 parts water to 1 part psyllium. I read that if you don't drink enough fliuds for the amount of psyllium that you take you can actually constipate yourself. I haven't found this problem with ground flax. Micaela, I keep mine in the fridge. You figure it's better to keep it in the freezer? Any particular reasons? Says on my package to keep refridgerated but if the freezer is better let me know. Guest guest
Yes, but can you take this while breastfeeding? I have six months to go on breastfeeding, and I do not know what to do about my constipation. Guest guest
Don't know if you can take Colosan. It's basically a laxitive. Pretty sure you can take the ground flax seed. It's been great for me. IBS sufferer for years and since I started with this it's been nice to have a normal movement everyday rather than going from constipated to the runs. It's cheaper than the colosan too. Under $10 for at least a months supply from the organic section of the grocery store. You can buy whole flax seeds and grind them yourself as well. Guest guest
Greetings I have not done it yet. I am weighing the shipping cost and such. In the Nederlands they tax every thing. I was able to get some in the local nature winkle..I mean nature store. winkle is Dutch I am sure the quality is not as good as your product but that is all I am doing at the moment. Thanks again for the chance to save!!! Guest guest
Duncan, Do you think it's safe to take Homozone daily in small quantitities to prevent the runs. I was only taking my Colosan as needed but if the oxygen is beneficial perhaps I should take it daily? tx

Homozon is more potent than the copycats; it hasn't been improved on. Here's a source: http://excellentthings.com Duncan Crow

The magnesium peroxide compounds are incidentally laxative all right but they are potent oxygen therapy. This is significant bcause most of the problem bacteria and candida are anaerobic; they do not do well in the presence of all the oxygen that Homozon delivers. In addition, the bowel oxygen therapies are profoundly curative to the intestinal walls too, another thing flax doesn't approach. regards, Duncan Crow (an ozone therapist)
