Lori-

My girlfriend used to ge these all the time. What we found that worked was

peeling a clove of garlic, put some slices into it, and stick it up there.

Just plain old garlic before you go to bed and remove in the morning does

the trick. And don't worry if you can't get it out in the morning, it will

either dissolve or fall out sometime during the day...You would probably

need to do this for 3-4 nights to totally get at the infection...After one

night you will find serious relief. This method may sound crazy but the

girlfriend now swears by this....the only other thing you may want to do is

to get organic garlic if you can and drink plenty of water.....

Yeast infection & sex

Hi all,

My boyfriend returned home after 6 months away (military) and we had sex on

Saturday. I always have a low grade yeast infection, but after the sex on

Saturday, it has been HORRIBLE. We used a condom and astroglide. What

could have caused this? The condom, the lube, or the sex itself (the

rubbing?) Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Lori

Lori,

I have used the method that Rob is talking about over the years, whenever I

get an infection. The garlic clove is the first thing I go for. A couple

other things I would add to Rob's suggestion:

1) peel the garlic clove, but do not cut the rough end off, leave it on;

then,

2) cut about 12 " or so of white sewing thread and thread a needle with it.

Thread the garlic straight up the middle starting at the little rough edge,

so that the knot is at the rough edge. Cut the thread from the needle and

tie a knot again. Then insert the garlic vaginally and let the thread hang

out, no different than a tampon. It is simple. You can use the same piece

of garlic for a couple days, and then use a fresh piece on the third day.

Or however you feel is best. But keep it in 24 hours a day, for several

days, or until you feel most of the infection is gone. One thing I do know

for sure, this temporary solution provides blessed relief, and depending

upon the severity of the infection it can possibly eliminate it. And it is

so inexpensive.

Thanks Sasha, that's a very creative idea. Just a question to those who've

used garlic internally in this way - does it not sting??

Wow!! Thanks . I appreciate the compliment.

One thing I forgot to mention though, is that the garlic should be removed

and washed off with plain old water and re-inserted at intervals. The

intervals depend upon personal preference. The garlic will attract the

bacteria to it, and kill it off, so you will want to wash it off every now

and then. Sorry I didn't include that in my previous post.
