I'm curious. Can you do a FAST if you have candida? I'm hoping by fasting over a weekend or week I can kick-start the healing process. But what type and how to do it?

I did a ten day fast last year and passed handfuls of yeast. It was great. I was not hungry, and felt so much better when it was over. If you are serious about it, I would recommend buying a book on it first. Fasting for Idiots is pretty good, and Dr. Breuse's book on fasting is great.

Fasting is contraindicated if you have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It strains the adrenals, and if you already have adrenal fatigue, you won't benefit. hspl28@... wrote:

Gosh, it was a year ago, but as far as I can remember they looked like stringy cottony brown snot. Gross I know, but I was doing daily coffee enemas to cleans my colon, and that accounts for the brown color. Other wise it would look white or yellow. Some of them had roots, and some had impacted fecal matter attached to them. One colony had fecal matter in the middle like it was feeding off of it.

I have passed some candida that looked like cotton balls too!
