Everybody,

Yesterday I had my doc muscle-test 127 foods and food additives, more than 90% of which I tested allergic to 3 years ago or was avoiding because of sulfite sensitivity. I am now only allergic to 25 of those items, with another 25 in the maybe category. (Doc says to try eating those in a dish with other foods.) As I deleted the now-ok items off my food allergen list this morning, I felt a huge weight lift from me. I can now enjoy such foods as onion, garlic, soy, parsley, mint, and olive oil that made eating foods prepared by others here so difficult. Plus I can add such healthful items as strawberry, sweet peppers, and pecans back into my diet.

I am passing this along not to seek congratulations but to encourage others. Healing from food allergies is possible! A lifetime of avoidance is not necessarily indicated.

Kari, thanks. I didn't mean I rejected congrats, just didn't want you all to think I was bragging again!

I wanted to add one thing to the list I already sent (and I hope you've seen) of the most important factors in my healing. I have been using a series of cassettes by Collinge, PhD. The whole series is great, but there is one exercise I find particularly powerful: Tape 2B "Breath, Imagery and Healing." This exercise creates a healing charge of energy, and you visualize your white cells maturing in your marrow under a healing glow. Then you visually send them out to serve wherever they are most needed. Almost every time I have done this I have had some energy release in my feet, hands, stored emotions, or back, and sometimes I can identify the healing afterwards. I do this about once a week.

I talked to Dr. Collinge, and he said that he does not make up portions of the cassettes. However, if you are interested in ordered the series, here is the link: http://www.healthy.net/collinge/cfs4tapeset.htm. He also has books and self-help tapes for other issues, such as stress.

I'll check it out. Actually tapes for me are wonderful because I can do it on the way to and from work. Having a hard time making time for reading, and sleeping too! I'm trying to get through Andres's book and I know in it he speaks highly of the value of sleep. Did you find these tapes helpful in addition to Andres's book, or were they kind of an overlap?

Kari,

Three of the tape sides in the series are things you could listen to while driving; the others require lying down with eyes closed. The tapes are helpful in addition to s' book; I don't think there's much overlap, though they are certainly compatible. Best,
