Overgrowth of Beneficial bacteria?

I've been fighting infections (both UTIs and Yeast) for years now.

My OBGYN didn't believe they were all yeast or UT infections and has

been running tests each time now for the last year. Each time, the

UTIs have come back as positive for bacteria and I've been put on

anti-biotics which has made my yeast worse, which he's advised as

just using over-the-counter remedies to fix. This last time, he

cultured the yeast and it came back as an " Overgrowth of Beneficial

bacteria and yeast " and said it wasn't the harmful kind but because

it's an overgrowth, again, wants to put me on anti-biotics.

Has anyone heard of this? He's also putting my husband on anti-

biotics this time. Why would beneficial bacteria be bad and why

would it effect my husband? I thought that's what we were shooting

for this whole time was beneficial yeast and bacteria not the other

way around?!

Thanks,

Sondra

Hi Sondra

As caring as your OB/GYN sounds, I would ask myself what conditions

would create a playground for an overgrowth of yeast (or anything

else) but one that might have plenty for them to feast...

I try to avoid antibiotics any way I can...I see colon cleansing and

dietary review/changes as a better approach so everything can balance

out.

I forgot to add KIDNEY CLEANSE to that regimen since you mentioned a

history of UTI...I would go to curezone.com look into colon and

kidney cleanses right away, they will help!

It is possible but rare to have an overgrowth of beneficial bacteria.

It's not that the beneficial in there; the urinary tract is supposed

to be bacteria free. Using mannose can stop bacteria from sticking to

the tract wall. There's mannose in cranberry juice; powder is of

course much more potent, and pure mannose is even better.
