Guest guest
Why are sour cream and buttermilk better than milk or cream? Re: RE: Re: fruit & spices > > Thanks for your reply but I didn’t understand what you said about the > fruit and milk, especially about 'bloom' and 'brew'?? Bloom is the yeast growth on the outside of fruits such as grapes and plums. It's pretty conclusive that it can live on fructose. Brew is the act of culturing up a batch of bacteria or yeast. > > My questions are: > Can I eat fruits other than the ones she (my doctor) said not to eat and > if not why not? My doctor said I can > have milk, cream, soft white cheese and plain (non-sugared) yoghurt but > no other dairy eg sour cream, buttermilk > No fruit; they all contain sugar. You can get the benefit of the vitamins and minerals if you want, but realize that doing it will culture yeast and candida. Most dairy contains lactose; that is useable by both unwnated bacteria and yeasts, candida included. Sour cream and buttermilk are better for you than milk or cream. Your doctor isn't that good with foods, is he? Duncan Crow

Sure, I believe it, but her sex is immaterial to the discussion, . > > Secondly she's also a homeopath and has been treating candida for more > than 15 years, and has also done a personal assessment of me which you > haven't, so I don’t think you should be so quick to rubbish her opinion > Well, I replied because you asked a pertinent question on treatment, not diagnosis. You don't have to be defensive on her behalf; her opinion on what organisms can eat the sugar and starch in the foods she recommends you can eat is not open to debate; it's just part of the science. She can look it up anytime on Medline and then rubbish her own previous opinion. Whether she's assessed you and I have not is also immaterial. ANYONE's candida can thrive on those sugars. If you have it, it can thrive on her recommendations. You are the one to live with the outcome, and you're the only check and balance in your relationship with the candida infection and your doctor. I catch homeopaths and naturopaths incorrect on basic science all the time. The fact that she's your doctor doesn't make it a special case at all. It's still the wrong information, pure and simple. regards, Duncan Crow > > > > Thanks for your reply but I didn’t understand what you said about the > > fruit and milk, especially about 'bloom' and 'brew'?? > > Bloom is the yeast growth on the outside of fruits such as grapes and > plums. > It's pretty conclusive that it can live on fructose. > > Brew is the act of culturing up a batch of bacteria or yeast. > > > > > My questions are: > > Can I eat fruits other than the ones she (my doctor) said not to eat > and > > if not why not? Guest guest
> > Why are sour cream and buttermilk better than milk or cream? Hi , It's because they have been cultured by probiotic bacteria that are beneficial to the bowel, and also most of the sugar has been used up so the yeast can't survive in it. And the yeast can't tolerate the acid levels either. Also, the probiotic bacteria produce short chain fatty acids as a byproduct. These are extremely beneficial. Guest guest
So does this mean that you could alternate acidophillus, yogurt, sour cream, dry cottage cheese, and buttermilk? marni Duncan Crow wrote: > > > > Why are sour cream and buttermilk better than milk or cream? > > Hi , > > It's because they have been cultured by probiotic bacteria that are > beneficial to the bowel, and also most of the sugar has been used up > so the > yeast can't survive in it.
