I used to get anal fissures--thankfully, it has been 8 or 9 years

since my last one, but the pain is something I will never forget!

These are what helped me:

A) Metamucil helped make the BM quicker and slicker (sensitive as I

can put it)

B) for me, the excess stomach acid was burning tissues during BM's

and actually making the tissues so damaged that fissures occured...a

proton pump inhibitor med (Prevacid, Nexium, Prilosec) calmed down

the acid production and helped end the tissue damage

C) Hot baths, soaking in either salt or Arm and Hammer baking powder

(I specify Arm & Hammer cuz I always get baking powder and baking

soda confused even though they are very different products)

D) hydrocodosone cream as needed

While I cannot say that your fissures are being caused the same way

mine were, I hope these might give you some relief. As I mentioned, I

haven't had any again in the past 8 or 9 years, so it can become a

painful memory rather than regular life experience! Good luck!! Sam

Hi Sue

I've never suffered with anything like that but I

would recommend Aloe Vera. It's wonderful for healing

and soothing internally and externally. Drinking or

applying Aloe to the affected area will bring about

great relief. ---

Hi all!

Has any had any trouble with anal fissures?

Thanks

thanks for the info. I've been doing most of that with some success.

I think it's from my IBS troubles over the last year. That (knock) on wood seems

to be under control so hopefully this will heal shortly.

Not pleasant at all.

Thanks

Sue

Hey, Sue.

Don't apologise. If we don't talk about this stuff, we'll never get rid or it,

eh?

Possibly there could be a bacteria or viral component that is creating this

problem.

Try putting a few drops of colloidial silver on unscented baby wipes then get a

really good balm to promote healing. If you haven't heard of silver, there is

much information online.

Here in Texas there is a company called Dr. Burt's Bees. A jar of his healing

balm (it looks like white vaseline, but it's basic ingredient is honey) is about

6 -8 dollars. Should last a long time. It's really good for hands so if you

get some you might want to separate some for various uses. Works good on

external fissures, the ingredients are nothing that would cause ANY harm, gut

you'd probably want to research with the company before using it as a

suppository.

Anyway, hope you get the relief you seek.

Mike

BTW, I use all this stuff (hardly ever in the manner that it was intended) and

except for some lingering mold alergies, I'm rarely sick enough to notice. I

drink ACV/honey/water each morning and use the silver if I feel like I'm coming

down with something. Usually by the next day or so, I can't tell I was ever

sick.

If I could ever get my hands on some fluconazole to get rid of this yeast

faster, I'd probably never get sick at all.

Has any had any trouble with anal fissures? Did you have any success

getting them to heal and stay that way. I get them to heal only to

have a bowel problem and have them flare up again.

Any suggestions would be appreciated and sorry if this grosses

anyone out. Doctor gave me a steroid cream but I don't really want

to use it.

Thanks

Sue
