I need to get X-rays of my sinus cavities as well, I had sinus infections most of my youth! The only information I've read on fungus balls were ones created by the fungus aspergillus which has much different symptoms than candida. I just did a quick search and it seems candida can cause them as well but this isn't as common. > I was just wondering if maybe any of you had ever heard of a > fungus ball and > maybe any of you had ever had any experiences with anything > like that? Sorry I don't have any information to add related to what your going through. If you have candida problems you should evaluate your lifestyle. What do you eat? Do you smoke? Do you exercise? Guest guest
I had fungal sinustis, but not a fungus ball, but I do know what you are talking about. if you are interested in treatments other than standard medical treatment, which will be to attack the fungus without considering how it got there, I can offer some general points. the fungus in your sinus is a symptom of broader problems in your body, including a malfunctioning digestive system, clogged liver, and overburdened toxic body. the key is to cleanse the body, remove any toxic influences (processed food, chemicals ect) and work on rejuvenating your body. www.curezone.com is a great place to start (read about the cleanses). and for one stop shopping, s Moritz's book " key to health and rejuvnation " has the most useful information I have found, set out in an easy to understand approach. johng > Hi, > I am new to the group and have done the spit test which was positive for > candidiasis. Guest guest
Grrr, I hope someone addressed this poor woman who's been put on the whole medicine cabinet. I'm shuddering just thinking about it & the mention of surgery made me weep. Don't cut yourself open my dear. Love your body. I can't STAND conventional doctors !!!!!! Does anyone know anything about a fungus ball in your sinus cavity Hi, I am new to the group and have done the spit test which was positive for candidiasis. I started having a severe itching problem and have been bothered by it now for a couple of years now on and off. It seems to be worse in the summer so I was just chalking it up to the fact that it must be allergies or something I was allergic to. A couple of weeks ago I was so bothered by itching I made an appoitment with the allergy doctor. When I went he tested me for a lot of things that I seem to be allergic to. First off I am allergic to my cat and also a lot of different molds and fungus. I had a bad reaction to it. He also did a x-ray of my sinus cavity. One side was clear and normal but the other side you could see was all clogged up even though I have no symptoms and have not been bothered by it. He said it was chronic sinutitus. He said it may be a fungus ball so he put me on 20 days of antibiotics, prednasone,celluair,rhinocourt,allegra-D,a medicated lotion with hydrocortazone in it, and told me to use afrin also. Also I have been taking the proviatic 8 and parasweep cleaning so I am on a ton of medication right now. I got on the internet to do some researching and found out that a fungus ball can be related to candidiasis and can cause serious health affects to your body and even death in some cases. I am suppose to go back in a month once I am done with all of this medicine and if I am not better then he said I might have to take an allergy shot. I was just wondering if maybe any of you had ever heard of a fungus ball and maybe any of you had ever had any experiences with anything like that? It says it can even go into your brain. It does not sound good at all. I just hope that all of this medicine I am on does something to get rid of it. From what I have been reading surgery is an option also if it does not go away. After all of this medicine I am taking, the itching still has not stopped and is about to drive me nuts trying to get some relief. in Alabama
Guest guest
I agree! I used to be in the vulvodynia newsgroup and these poor souls are not really as advanced in thinking as this group (this was also where I came as a next step). Many of them have suffered with constant pain and inflammation for even 40-50 years. They are put on anti-depressants, Diflucan, have surgery " down there " , take anti-anflammitory drugs, are called crazy, etc. Reading all this every day made me so sad and kept me away from allopathic doctors for good because most of these poor souls reported that they were even worse than before. No one there was actually " better " . I'm glad I found this group and the " leakygut " group... otherwise I might still be waiting 6 months to see another specialist doctor *sigh* *8-) > Grrr, I hope someone addressed this poor woman who's > been put on the whole medicine cabinet.
