Guest guest
there are many schools of thought on this. It seems that there are 4 approaches people have mentioned on this list. You can mix and match or do what feels right to you. In the end, you will need to address the cause behind your candida: 1) suddenly eliminate candida symptom causing foods on a strict candida diet combined with anti-fungals / 3lac. This helps control your symptoms. For me I have found this process beneficial in controlling my symptoms, but now comes the tough part: healing my body. 2) gradually eliminating foods that cause sensitivities instead of the strict candida diet. This is less taxing on you physically and emotionally since the adjustments happen gradually. 3) read andreas moritz - key to health and rejuvination and commit to your health. In his book, moritz talks about how our bodies should work: good times to wake and sleep; when is a good time to eat; importance of drinking water; what is your type according to ayurveda and what foods you need to eat to keep yourself balanced. There is also information about a liver flush and kidney flush. He explains why each is needed. Basically, he outlines what we need to do to help our bodies heal themselves. I have not tried this myself but I am very tempted to do so. You may have seen others on this list speak about feeling better after performing a liver flush. 4) Duncan Crow treats his patiends with inulin, whey, selenium to give the body what it needs to heal by itself. I have not tried this. I would love to hear from others on this list who have. In all cases the idea is to eat organic healthy foods and nourish your body rather than non-nutritious processed fast foods. Every little effort counts. By the way, the process may not take too long. I have been on anti-candida diet for 4 weeks now. I was able to take a glass of fresh-squeeze orange juice yesterday without needing to devour everything in sight (due to sugar cravings). Of course, I don't intend on making sugar or sugary foods (natural or not) my main staple anymore. I happened to be in the city later than I thought I would be and it was nice to go into a cafe and order something that someone else prepared for me Whichever route you take you will see progress and then you'll get greedy and crave more progress. Before you know it, a few months will pass and you will be a new you. Wishing you good health. Guest guest
You say you were on the candida diet for 4 weeks. How strict were you? Did you eliminate flour, wheat, rice, dairy, etc...? I have been on the diet for 3 days now in addition to taking nystatin and other things. I have not seen any improvement yet, and don't know if I will be able to last for a whole month. How bad were your symptoms? Is there any advice that you can give me that will help me make it? Thanks! Guest guest
Hello Jen, After months of trying to go on the anti-candida diet and failing, I was finally able to succeed 7 months later and it's only been 4 weeks. I followed the strictest candida diet - no grains. Only dairy I had was yoghurt (1 cup a day) instead of taking probiotics, but I made sure that I had no other sugar in my diet - except a few grams in lemons (fresh squeezed lemon juice/stevia) + grapefruit. I was taking nystatin a while back. On this list, I've heard that nystatin destroys all intestinal bacteria and yeasts, good and bad. Which means as soon as you stop it, you will feel worse. Check with a Naturapath or doctor on this, but you may want to switch to antifungals found at the health food store (pau d'arco, capryilic acid, olive leaf extract, oil of oregano), using one every four days and then switching to another one so the yeast do not develop a resistance to any of them. (valuable advice I got from this list). I also tried to reduce the quantities of what I ate plus drink water. I used to have a hard time feeling full and did not drink enough purified water. I've been trying to listen to my body when it comes to thirst and ignore the yeast when it comes to sugar cravings. This is what the strict diet has done for me: - eliminated some of the candida. (if you don't mind me mentioning this: I've seen long strings of white stuff in my bowel movements in addition to mucous). - eliminated head fog and helped me focus However, this is just the beginning. What I need to do so that I don't have to stay on a strict diet: - liver flush / colonic (next week ... ! I'm a little nervous) - eat right for my type (whether you follow ayurveda, blood type, ... etc.) and eat organic / healthy foods - look into mercury chelation and amalgam removal. (I ingested mercury as a child and have 4 fillings). Basically, do what I can to help my body heal itself. I hope this helps. > > > > > > is a good diet and threelac enough to get rid of CANDIDIASIS?? > > > > > > STOPCANDIDA
