There was a post earlier today about prednisone. Save it. If you are like me it won't interest you until you start experiencing it. My doctor didn't do blood work when he lowered the prednisone and as a result my liver enzymes elevated and I didn't know it. They should be doing bloodwork every time it is lowered. Watch for wild mood swings and some sleepless nights. I had to start taking an antidepressant to level off the moods but everyone is different and the drug effects everyone in a different way...but regardless...taking 40 a day...lol get ready to rock! And, I was back in the gym. Not exactly at the strength or stamina I was but I was there. Boy, was I pooped in the evening. However he nor my GP thought there was anything odd about liver enzymes of 3000. My hepatologist here in Atlanta wants to get me on a maintenance doseage of prednisone once things look favorable in that direction and can communicate with me in Montana. I feel good that he is able to do so. I can go to our hospital and send him blood work. One of the tradeoffs in living in " God's Country " as Montana is often referred is medical care.
