I'll get the bottle if you want more specifics. The bottles (several brands) all say to take 2 tbl. However, my massage therapist tells me I need 1/4 cup daily so that's what I take. I mix it in with some weak homemade lemonade (made with stevia) although I have drank it plain. Hugs, Carol B Thanks Carol. You confirm what I have heard, that aloe vera can soothe inflammed intestinal walls resulting from all kinds of infections. Francine
Guest guest
Getting caught up on my e-mails as I was out of town yesterday. Started my diet this morning but made a mistake and learned something. I have been using this garlic salt w/parsley seasoning to season skinless/boneless chicken breasts and then cooking them in olive/coconut oil on the stove. Decided maybe I'd better look for ingredients and unfortunately it has sugar in it. I at the chicken but won't use the seasoning again. I CAN'T use psllium. It cramps my stomache MAJOR and goes through me. My friend told me that if you have IBS you shouldn't take it. I was recently diagnosed with diverticulitus and told to take psyllium. WRONG! I don't think so. At least not for me. Aloe vera juice does wonders. I was also using citra cel for a while but I think it has sugar as well so it's out for me. If I remember correctly, Elaine Gottshell who wrote the book " Breaking the Vicious Cycle) feels that problems stem from broken down intestines that aren't working right. Proper diet (in her case the SCD) will allow them to heal and you won't need things like fibre etc which she says is to harsh on our intestines. It's been a while since I read the book so don't quote me on anything. LOL Going from memory (and she's just short according to my husband. 5'1 " ) Hugs, Carol B __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hi Francine. Aloe vera helps with me with elemination. I also understand that it has GREAT healing properties for the intestines. I'm currently using a brand from the health food store that has healing herbs in it such as burdock root (I think). I'll get the bottle if you want more specifics. The bottles (several brands) all say to take 2 tbl. However, my massage therapist tells me I need 1/4 cup daily so that's what I take. I mix it in with some weak homemade lemonade (made with stevia) although I have drank it plain.
