I get a copy of the RMV denial letter that I never originaly recieved

and called Priscilla to let her know the specifics of what they want

from the DR based on what my letter said. I had to leave a vioce mail

which is fine. When I have spoken to her about it she seems very put

off.

The whole reason that I am being denied is because of the inaccuracy

and generality of what was written down. I do find the denial

understandable given that most people who have scoliosis do not need a

cane to walk. Obviously the prior fusion and flatback are more the

reason for the cane than just scoliosis.

Earlier she was just mad that she had to do it and I could tell really

just annoyed by me and the whole situation.

If the letter does not get faxed soon and with the accurate diagnosis,

I have no chance of getting the placard at all. Even if I appeal there

is a 14 to 18 month waiting period and a $50 fee before the board of

appeals looks at it. At that point I would be not as dependant on the

cane since my surgery is in 2 months.

I just get the impression that she doesn't give a crap. In fact the

RMV people were more concerned than she was. That is why they are not

making me wait another 30 days to process the letter. She told me she

would get it faxed this week and now it looks like Monday. Not that I

care exactly which day, but it is the whole lack of care with which it

is being/has been handled. When you have a bad attitude about doing

something then it gets reflected in the way it is done.

I have never met her face to face, but I can tell you I do have a lot

of apprehension about having to deal with her while recovering because

she just does not seem to be very empathetic.

Oh well, just wanted to vent. I hate having to rely on people to do

something they obviously don't want to do. I have done all that I can

do.
