Guest guest
Hy. I wrote a while ago about this situation, I lost more weight than I would had wanted. Being athletic, I like to exercise, I do not favor a frail body. Well, in late nov, I was under 60mg of thyroid,my tests showed that my TSH was still very high and my T's very low, so the plan was to go up quarter grain(15mg) every 2 weeks, so, in the first 15 days, 60 + 15=75, then after, last 15 days of december 90 mg, then Jan, 105, and then 120, then feb, 135 and then 150 Well , after finding out about my test results, I wanted to reach optimum levels of thyroid faster, so I elevated the dosage on my own faster, so, from 60, one week at 75,second week at 90, third week at 120, last week of dec at 150, it is then, at the begining of jan that I started loosing weight, it probably kicked in, and I kept on the 150 untill last week when I saw my doctor. I did not tell him I accelerated the dosage, but yes I mentioned I lost weight, in 4 weeks we will have another blood test. So now I an on 150+15 = 175, and in 2 weeks I will add another 15, this time around, I will stick to the plan. So my question is, is that posible, if the thyroid replacement goes in too fast, would that make weight loss excesive? That, added to running and other exercises, could be the reason, and once the thyroid reaches the normal levels, will I get some weight back? It must be strange for most people to hear this, wanting to gain weight, well, I was always around 185/190 in my healthy weight, although some fat loss would had been good, and it was, I went down initialy to 175/180, not bad, but, after the rapid increase in thyroid, I went down to 160, way too light for me, I do not feel myself, I do not like it. I welcome loss of fat, but I do not like loss of muscle, I do not want to be a skiny person, it is not my type of person, will the weight loss stop, will I recuperate muscle? or am I in a downward spin to become a broomstick? Please let me know your experiences, I need some feedback. Masiste.
