Guest guest Posted April 30, 2006 Report Posted April 30, 2006 I was reading on here the other day about how a person can't bend, lift or twist after revision surgery. (Bacon, Lettuce Tomato) I already can't twist--haven't been able to now since before my surgery in 1974, and I already can't lift anything heavy, now BENDING--that's what I need clarification on. I could see RIGHT AFTER surgery for several months at least not bending over for any reason until things heal. But, even then, it would be bending at the HIPS. I already bend at the hips, and have been doing so since my HR surgery 32 yrs ago. The only issue I have is now with the arthritis and DDD, the free vertebra/discs in L5- S1--I guess there's just enought " give " in that area---that is where I start to hurt after bending over (at the hips) just once or twice NOW. Could someone clarify this " bending " thing that has had revision surgery? Right now, it's not sounding that much different from what I do NOW. Carol (CA) Quote
