Llweyn,

I wish I could take the anger that I am feeling on your behalf and

turn it into something productive....but I do not know how, as I

know little about your health care delivery system and what your

choices are.

That said, if this doctor told you that the lack of an existing

fusion to the sacrum means that a fixed sagittal imbalance does not

exist....then in my opinion he isn't much of an expert. I have never

heard of having a partial fixed saggital imbalance....kinda like

being a little pregnant. Either you are " off " by some number of

centimeters or you are not. I did not have prior fusion to the

sacrum, and if you can put Drs Boachie and Rand in the category of

knowing their stuff...neither seemed to think that was a pre-

qualifier for actually having a condition that required surgical

correction. AAARRRGGGGHHHHHHHH!

Perhaps Dr Fisher is under a big patient load and does have to abide

by some " conservative care " guidlines before recommending you to

someone to undertake the surgery. If you have to now wait for his

further action, I guess the best thing you can do is do whatever you

can to meet his artifical " goals " as quickly as possible. Do you

have a right to ask him to quantify his recommendations in writing?

That way when you go from weight " x " to weight " z " without

corresponding reduction in pain, maybe you will be able to more

quickly get to the next step?

I wish there was more I could say. I am sorry you have to go through

this " exercise in futility " . I know your plate is full already.

Stuff happens for a reason....maybe the resons will become obvious

at some point.

Good luck figuring this out...please keep us posted.

Take Care, Cam
