Guest guest
Being Mother's Day and kinda doing what I want, in between family taking me out and cooking for me, I decided to look up Cam's chronicles of her surgery. I went to the fourth month documentation to see how I compared. I am just a few weeks shy of 4 months. I would say I am just abouth there, I do have a bit of sore muscle in the spine area. I would concur that a hard chair is my bestfriend, compared to a soft comfy chair. I am also sore in the hip area. I was down to one tramadol over the past few days but think I will go back to 2 a day..I think one is not enough. I know we are all different but I found it fun to compare notes.....also looked ahead to look forward to sitting in that beach chair and being able to get myself out of it!!! One can only hope!!! , Ca so, so glad to hear you are home....that is the best news I have heard all weekend!!! Jolyn, They will survive...if you look at any of my old posts, I was lamenting about the same issues...all here encouraged me that it would be ok and the family would pull through, they did, with flying colors I must say!!My husband was not used to being home for more than 3 weeks straight at a time. He is partners in an importing company and travels for weeks at a time to CHina, Haiti and the Philippines...he would need to be home for 2 months straight and cut his hours back at the office. No, easy feet for him, but it was done. My family only visited me 2 times. Once after each stage. Actaully I requested for them NOT to visit me at all, it was too much of a hassel, coming from PA to Boston, I did not want to break up the kids routines! My 14 year old was in the midst of her bball season and my husband pulled all four kids out of school on a friday to travel to Boston, she still is getting the blame for their big loss against a rival school....my husband did not know either that you could not just take kids out of school and not CALL the school. He has never had to take kids out of school, I always deal with these things..needless to say schools left messages and sent notes that he had to deal with when he got home..I kind of got a good laugh out of that....this will not be something you will deal with since you home school. Bottom line is I had all those same fears you have. But they were all correct on this board, it will be ok...it was ok, more than I had thought it would be,,try not to worry, it all works out..and even if a few things fall between the cracks..noone is going to die...just my 2 cents..,PA
