After catching up on posts last night I was excited and happy to see

that many old friends are popping in to share their experiences...I

am very happy to see everyone again. Hello!

I also saw a few posts that remind me that from time to time it is

probably a good idea to remind everyone that with a group as large

and diverse as this one, the same simple rules apply as to any large

gathering or party. Lets try to keep religion and politics out of

the discussion. These are not the things that bring us together here

in the first place and by straying off into these conversations I

fear we risk focusing on the wrong topics or alienating those in

need of support.

I am sure we are made up of men and women from all walks of life,

Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, Muslim. We are believers and non-

believers alike. We are black, and white and brown. We are

republican, we are democrats, we are americans, canadians, brits,

irish and more...we are people of the world and we can not presume

to know what values our fellow members may hold most dear...and so I

ask you all to please refrain from supposing that any one particular

world view or priority is the same for everyone in this group.

What I do feel certain of is that we are all good people with the

same desire in our focus of trying to live productive, comfortable

lives. Lets just agree to try to keep a wary eye to drifting off

into areas that can cause hard feelings or misunderstandings since

those topics are pretty much irrelevant to our purposes here.

Please understand and believe me when I say that I am not responding

to any one persons posts nor the most recent topic which drited

slightly askew. It just reminded me to spend some time crafting a

post that hopefully would not offend anyone but would remind us all

of our common purpose here in this particular place.
