Guest guest Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 I would be more than happy to help plan a trip to Vegas. I would be willingto get check into group hotel prices for different and put together an outline of hotels amenties prices and aifare and packages available by May 23rd.with a choice of three weekends and the weekend with the most yes votes would be the chosen one.. I have been to the beuatiful Monte Carlo and a normal price has been $79.00 to $99.00 a night for a nice two queen bed room with fridge and micowave. I'd be willing to share a room with someone male or female. The hotel is a bit more central then the Bellagio and priced more reasonable. They have a great heated wave pool and a heated lazy river pool as well and a spa on the premises and the location is a bit more central to walk to other locations or take the strip bus. It;s about $1.50 for an all day ride pass. There are free shows to see as well. I can also include trips to grand canyon and hoover damn by tour bus and/or price if I rented a van and drove a group. I have a cousin who lives there and has allot of in's with the locals. He works with Jay Leno restoring his antique cars. I think a long weekend late September would be perfect as tourist have gone home due to schools etc. They have gone back in session. Previous experience from going this time of year. Rates are lower september/ october. So I'd like to add myself as the third final committee person for us revision folks. I have navigated las vegas pre-revision 1.5 years when walking was a problem and post revision problems so I have a good insight into what will work well and what doesn't. I can take or leave the gambling aspect. If we pick a date by End of June that give folks about for three months to get themselves together to join in for commraderie. I may even be able to get a ortho flatback doc to join us if you'd like to have a small intimate Q & A session. Don't want to make it to scheduled but definitely have a saturday gathering and sunday brunch and group farewell. I am sure I will stay longer as I always take an opportunity to play away from home and relax... Guest guest Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Kathleen, Thanks for your offer for the initial planning....but I think for the moment we are all set...too many cooks in the kitchen and all that. When we get to the point where we have more detailed information and need more " helpers " we will surely put out an A.P.B.. Thanks for volunteering. It will be a bit of an effort on everyones part to pull this off! Cam Quote
