Oh gosh..it was so wonderful to get to meet Dr. Hu!!! She was so open

and friendly. When she looked at me and said, 'You dont have to walk

or stand like that'...it was what I have been waiting for a doctor to

tell me for years!!!

As for the appt., am working towards it! I have an appointment with

the Neurosurgeon here at Grant M.C., on the 18th. I am going to

talk to him about getting referred to Dr. Hu. I really don't think I

will have a problem with him giving me the referral, or should I say

putting the request into TriCare to give me the referral. I know for a

fact that they, the neurosurgeons at Grant, do not have any

experience with this Flatback 'stuff'. I had seen the other

neurosurgeon there 2 years ago. When I finished my conversation with

him, I pretty much ran in the other direction!!

sooo, long story short, hopefully by the end of the month I can start

calling to get my appt. with her! As my grandkids say...cool beans!

So glad that you had the opportunity to meet Dr. Hu and even more glad

that she had the strength to say what she did. I can imagine that

hearing those words said with confidence is a good motivator. All the

best to you as you begin to sort this out for yourself.
