Guest guest
... I have been on medication for my thryoid problems for about 2 1/2 years. I had a terrible problem with hair loss. At one point I had to have it cut to just below my ears and I wore a hat or scarf for about six to eight months. It has grown only about four and a half inches in two years. Only in the last six weeks or so have I been able to see any new growth....I can now spot some very fine inch and a half long hairs growing on the top, where I could not before. I am hoping this is a good sign! It has taken a very long time to get where I am now though, and it was extremely discouraging for so long! I do think that in addition to the thyroid problems...I had some underlying adrenal problems, as there was a great deal of stress in my life at the time.. that went un-checked. I wonder if the resolution of the adrenal problems has had more to with the new growth than the thyroid meds, considering it did not really resolve at the time I started taking medication. Many people with thryroid difficulties have adrenal issues as well. Have you looked into it? best of luck to you..
Guest guest
--- Hy. Excuse me for insisting, but, since I am in the process of recovering optimum thyroid levels, and since I had noticed my hair being fine and loosing some hair for the past several years, I would like to know if the hair has any connection with the low thyroid. From what I read it does, and I want to hear from any of you who went from hypo to full recovery, or in the process, if the hair problem improves. I will not be able to notice any changes, from what I read(again, yes, I read some stuff on the matter)untill the thyroid amount reaches the optimum concentration in my blood, I will not see any substancial improvements. Thanks. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ In hypothyroidism , " " <jaimecidpedro@y...> wrote: > > Hy. Guest guest
--- Hy. Thanks for that information. How is your thyroid level now, is it normal? . About adrenal issues, is that something endo's do regularly ? or should I suggest it? What are the symptoms of a adrenal problem? Thanks.
