Guest guest
You can try an increase of Armour, but if you feel no different or worse, then you will need to treat adrenals with cortisol. Do not go by TSH--it's just not possible. Gracia > > --- I am hypothyroid. I was told to take first 30mg armour. After > that went to 60 mg. Guest guest
You are being poorly treated and undertreated. You should get enough meds to take care of symptoms. Look for a topdoc ASAP, do not do a sleep study. http://www.geocities.com/thyroide or order Armour over the internet. Gracia > > > My TSH, which was just checked a couple of weeks ago is 2.2. Guest guest
Greetings Lost_soul_002, My TSH was 21 six months ago.............it came down to 8 after two months on 50 MCG Levothyroxine....but didn't budge with a 25 MCG increase the following two months....my doc just upped my doeage to 100 MCG until Feb when he'll test my TSH again. He would like my TSH to be 2. also....maybe with this increase. I'm not sure how I'm functioning with my TSH at 8....maybe I just think I feel better since I was a walking zombie for a very long time before my doc realized I was not just depressed, tested me, and began treating me for underactive thyroid. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired ALL the time! I am not 100% yet, but I'm on my way! I hope the increase in meds brings your numbers down. I can't imagine how you are functioning with a TSH so high. Good luck. > > hi > > Is anyoe here hypothyroid but their result for TSH is in the normal > range? I suggest you find an excuse to test a week earlier, if you can and the doc will allow it. They like a six week interval for your system to level out, but you can sometimes persuade them to act a little sooner. My last increase of the " ramping up " schedule was after only four weeks, and it worked out fine. He should weigh other risk factors, such as cardiac health.
