Guest guest
Sorry to hear about the sore throat. Here is how to get rid of it in one day. 1. avoid all dairy (even cultured) 2. take about 1g of Vit C on the hour until you reach bowel tolerance 3. make a mixture of about 5 drops of Teatree oil to 25 ml water (a bit more or less won't make a difference). Gargle for at least 2 minutes. DO NOT SWALLOW! Tea tree oil is poisonous (although 5 drops won't kill you). You will notice that your sore throat has subsided somewhat after the first gargle. As soon as the soreness returns, make a fresh batch and gargle again. You need to gargle at leat 3 times a day. Irene [ ] Treating infections? Hi All, This morning my throat was sore. Guest guest
Dear Zuzzan, Sore throats can also be a symptom of candida. It's a reaction to toxins. Even now I get a sore throat and sore ears if I indulge in too many carbs, sugar, etc. It will pass if you take lots of Vit. C, take Pau D'arco Tea and follow the diet closely. In most cases taking antibiotics is not necessary, and it is not recommended - that's what got most of here to begin with. Vitamin C and other nutrients or herbs can be taken to ward off an illness or to fight it once you get it. There are so many powerful whole food remedies available which are much more effective than antibiotics. Even Louis Pasteur who discovered penicillin regretted it later, and said garlic does a better job. Garlic and other natural remedies dos not damage the immune system like antibiotics. The there are so many natural healing symptoms which are typical when on the candida program, and they are not to be mistaken for the " real " illness. You will go backwards in time through every single symptom, ache, pain, illness, or any other trauma your body has experienced when you go through " the healing process " . But it is just a " copy " of the real thing, and not the actual illness or injury itself. You will also heal from the inside out, and from the top down per Hering's Law of Cures (there is a separate article on this and it is also included in my original article). There are very few " real " infections that require medical intervention. And then I would only recommend antibiotics to save life after all other remedies have been tried. I hope that helps. Guest guest
Hi Zuzzan. I have had to take repeated courses of antibiotics this past year due to gastric problems and surgeries, and so I've had to learn how to deal with both the antibiotics themselves and the results. One of the negative results is why I'm in this group! Unfortunately for me, my bacterial levels aren't stabilizing (too many bad guys, not enough good guys yet) so I have a feeling I'll be taking antibiotics again. I'd rather not, and will do my best to avoid the need, but my body isn't cooperating.... On the positive side, because I've been on the candida elimination diet for 7 months, I'm slowly getting my candida levels reduced, and able to tolerate more probiotics each week. I've also found that in the past month, after a course of antibiotics, I can get my candida-related symptoms reduced much more quickly (within a few days), so I feel that there is progress. So, my opinion is that although it's better to avoid antibiotics all together, if they are necessary, then just be prepared for the consequences. Kim M.
