Guest guest
I had itching really bad and that's how they found out I had a thyroid problem. The allergist tested me for everything under the sun one summer trying to get the itching to stop. After two months of testing he said the only thing he could think is it's a rare symptom of a thyroid problem. He ran the tests and it confirmed I had Hashi's. As for the beer belly, I have heard folks on the group report it but, I haven't had that myself. LaCretia > >HI > >Does anyone get itchy, tickly skin like creepy crawlies are crawling >over it? Guest guest
I think I look pregnant! That is where my weight seems to go, right to the belly! :-(( I sure hope this Armour gets me straightened out and I get rid of my belly! I guess doing some sit ups or crunches will not hurt! Guest guest
Hey Thats interesting that you too have a long pregnancy. You don't think it was due to child birth or anything do you? what other symptoms do you have? I cant think properly and it's difficult to take evry day. I am ok if I sit and do nothing but once I get out in the rat race it starts off martin > > > I think I look pregnant! Guest guest
Kathy... Anytime in the past that I had gained weight, it was around the middle as well. Before I knew that I had a thyroid problem and I was very ill, I had a belly issue as well. It was somewhat diminished when I started on Synthroid, but the most dramatic results came when I began adrenal support. I believe thats where the majority of my health problems are. Considering all of the crunches in the world are not gonna get rid of this kind of belly weight. Fortunately women have the edge over men in combating fat in this area! Our bodies can actually dip into this storage and use it for energy (provided we arent feeding ourselves too many carbs) where men can't. That is...if our hormones are in check! Cortisol and adrenaline being hormones that are very important in this case. The additional support also helped me to have more stamina, and I am able to work out longer, and thats definately a bonus! Be well.... Guest guest
Do you get itchy blisters on your hands and feet when you get really stressed? I do and it drives me insane-but only when I am stressed, then I am left with loads of dead skin that takes weeks to get rid of. Guest guest
What kind of adrenal support are you using? I know it would make me feel better, just not sure what to take. Guest guest
Hi Kathy... Hope you had a good Christmas! I take a supplement I can get at my local vitamin cottage.. It's called Planetary formula, Schizandra Adrenal Complex. I take a capsule in the morning, and again before bed. I also use 1% hydrocrtisone cream occasionally when I feel really stressed, and am unable to exercise it off. (the stress!) Most often I just go for a walk or a jog or something if I am having a rough day...but if I can't I just squeeze an amount about the size of my fingertip of the cream and rub it on my abdomen. It really helps me to calm down... I knew that I had some adrenal problems when, a friend of mine pointed out that nothing seems to get me going anymore... I had become very apathetic..tired etc..and I rarely startled and I had a hard time concentrating. I hadnt given it any thought really.. Thank goodness I have people close to me to point out differences! I would imagine the same sort of supplement would be available just about anywhere.. best wishes! ... Guest guest
you would see an amazing difference with cortisol. IMO this is far too weak to do much. Guest guest
Where can I get Cortisol? My husband is on Prednisone for his Rheumatoid Arthritis. Could I take this instead of Cortisol to see if it helps me. I feel like I have Osteoarthritis, but I think it is Adrenal Fatigue. I have been on Armour Thyroid for 3 weeks now, and I am still fatigued, and very stiff. Wake up around 2-4 and can't get back to sleep. Kathy Re: Itchy skin. Guest guest
Cortisol in the right dose is very different from prednisone. Docs just don't seem to know how to use cortisol effectively. Hydrocortisone (cortef) or deltacortril (time release so you can take one a day of 5mg) is available from http://mastersmarketing.com Take cortef 5mg 4X a day or delta 5mg once a day. Guest guest
Thanks Gracia! I didn't see Cortef on the site, but they did have cortisone. Kathy Re: Itchy skin. Guest guest
I buy cortef from them, it's listed under hydrocortone.
