OMG, Gracia. I did a search on perchlorate and I am just appalled and very

upset! I have never heard of this before...had no freakin' idea!

If you look at the map on the link I mentioned, you'll see almost every state is

affected. Kentucky is one of the few states which is not. Of course our state is

like the second highest in mercury, so I guess we're screwed anyway!

I was raised in San Francisco until I was 4 and lived in Indiana most of my

childhood. So, I guess I've gotten plenty of this toxin into my body. Plus, I

eat TONS of veggies. I guess it doesn't really matter if I buy organic or not

now, huh?

How can people be so stupid?

Here's a link to the website I've been learning about this. I haven't had time

to read it all yet, but what I've read so far is enough to convince me that this

toxin has probably affected us all. And what it can do to our children...well

there's just no sense in this!

I would copy & paste it but I haven't figured out how to do that when use have

to use Adobe to read it.

Take care and thanks for the info.

Children don't have these choices; after 18 years a lot of damage has been

done. I think OB/GYN in this country is the very worst of all, and these

poor docs can't identify hypo pregnant women (like I was). If you believe

that you should be eating lots of vegetables you may be ingesting thyroid

damaging perchlorate. I work in a group home. The RD has the clients on a

low fat diet. The only fats allowed are margarine and cool whip. Lots of

sugar and refined carbs. (Food pyramid). We need to develop a culture of

health which isn't dependent on profit and greed. Food corporations market

food which makes us sick so big pharma can then sell us drugs and we can

become permanent consumers of the for profit disease care system. Most

people want to do what is right for themselves and families. The last

person we should blame is the victim.

nothing is a miracle pill but it did help my daughter!! she took two

in the morning and two at night--with any kind of new

vitamin/supplement drug----look out of any reactions to it---read all

the info on the drug and pay attention to you blood pressure and

pulse!!!!!!!!! OK----

You need a good doctor and I can only help a tiny bit---but I know

finding a decent doctor is so difficult---so please read that site

from Gail that I just sent---and really try to take all these

supplements and make sure you read up on the dosages of all of them---

You have to do this yourself----we can offer advice and support and

info---but it's up to you to totally change your life!!!

I have the same problem with my daughter so I know what you are going

though!!!! try and walk once a day---even if it's a walk in the mall--

because it's so dam cold still!!!!! give yourself a list of things to

do---

write down a schedule for all your vitamins and make sure you keep a

journal on what ones you took for the day!!!!

keep on reading!!!
